We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda Trujillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brenda, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor of my brand ActivePear is being a brand that helps build confidence and motivates people to stay active and healthy. The fit of our leggings shapes women’s beautiful curves and tucks you in the right places leaving you feeling amazing, before and after a workout.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Building a brand, is harder than what people may think, you work 24/7, it’s a job that never ends and at times draining. With that said, the reward is when the brand is noticed and in demand, that makes the work worth it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love LA, I grew up here. If I had a friend from out of town visit, I would take them to the beaches, museums and Hollywood. We have so many beautiful places here, my favorite is Santa Monica to eat, hang out and unwind.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The success of ActivePear wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of the women who buy and wear the brand. We recently launched our men’s line and we are also very happy for the love and support from the men who wear and purchase ActivePear ALLPURPOSE Collection.
