Hi Tracey, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My inherent fashion sense, passion for beauty, and drive for innovation led to the creation of Daringly Posh. Inspired by the idea that nails should be viewed as both accessories and extensions of one’s outfit, I aimed to develop a fashion-forward press-on nail brand.

Previously, I frequently visited nail salons, dedicating significant time and resources to maintaining my nails. When the pandemic closed salons, I seized the opportunity to teach myself how to do my nails at home. While this new skill was rewarding, I found the process quite time-consuming. Seeking a more convenient alternative, I explored drugstore press-on nail kits. Although they offered a promising solution, I discovered that they didn’t quite meet my standards for durability, style, or the effectiveness of the included glue.

This experience ignited my determination to deliver a solution that not only met but exceeded my high standards. Daringly Posh is more than just about nails; it’s a celebration of diversity and individuality, empowering everyone to embrace their unique style with confidence. As the CEO & Founder of Daringly Posh, a proud Black (Ghanaian-American) and woman-owned brand, my journey has been driven by a passion for diversity, empowerment, and innovation in the beauty industry. Daringly Posh isn’t just a brand; it’s a movement that redefines nail care by making luxury accessible and empowering individuals to express their unique style effortlessly. Our iconic press-on nails eliminate the need for expensive, time-consuming salon visits, offering a solution that’s both affordable and stylish.

One of the highlights of my career has been witnessing the swift impact Daringly Posh has made in the industry. Within just one week of launching, we secured our first retail partner, Hidden in Larchmont—a clear indication of our brand’s strong appeal and early success. The tremendous support and enthusiasm we’ve received thus far have been incredibly motivating and affirming.

We take pride in offering fashion-forward, durable, customizable, reusable, waterproof, vegan, and cruelty-free press-on nails. With a diverse range of shapes, colors, and show-stopping designs, our press-ons transform nails into captivating works of art that spark conversations and turn heads.

Our press-on nail kits include essential tools such as ultra-strength nail glue, mega adhesive tabs, a double-sided nail file/buffer, a wooden cuticle pusher, and an alcohol prep pad—all meticulously designed to ensure salon-quality application and long-lasting wear.

Furthermore, our press-ons are elegantly presented in uniquely pink drawer-style boxes with a stunning crystal knob, offering a stylish and reusable storage solution. Our Press-On Nail Kits are perfect for those who want to indulge in salon-quality nail glam or surprise loved ones with a thoughtful gift. Our chic packaging enhances the gift-giving experience, while the included pink crinkle paper ensures every unboxing feels like a luxurious self-care gift to oneself.

Additionally, our adhesive products, including the Ultra-Strength Nail Glue in our Press-On Nail Kits and the Ultra-Strength Brush-On Nail Glue, are formulated to extend the wear of our press-on nails for up to two weeks. For temporary wear, our Mega Adhesive Tabs provide a strong hold and are ideal for shorter-term use.

Our standout offering, The Essentials Kit, features the Press-On Nail Kit along with innovative items such as the HEMA-free Nail Art Protector Gel and Clear Gel Top Coat, enhancing reusability and delivering an ultra-shiny finish. The kit also includes a USB-powered Mini UV Lamp for convenient curing and a cordless Mini E-File for shaping, buffing, and removing any lingering nail glue residue from both your natural nails and press-on nails—ideal for on-the-go touch-ups.

Overcoming Challenges

The journey to where I am today has been filled with challenges, but each obstacle has been an opportunity to learn and grow. One of the most significant challenges has been securing external financial capital to fuel the growth of Daringly Posh. While we continue to explore various funding avenues, our focus on growth and innovation through strategic initiatives has positioned us well for future opportunities. We remain optimistic about attracting the right partners and resources to elevate Daringly Posh to new heights.

Another challenge has been establishing partnerships with retailers who have existing relationships with other press-on nail brands. This has only strengthened our resolve to showcase the exceptional value that Daringly Posh brings to the market. Our early success with Hidden and ongoing discussions with other local businesses underscore the distinct appeal of our products. We’re excited about the momentum we’ve built and are confident in our ability to expand our retail presence. As we continue to grow and innovate, we look forward to forging strong, mutually beneficial retail partnerships and making a lasting impact in the industry.

If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d plan a curated itinerary that showcases the very best of the city, blending cultural richness, diverse cuisine, and some of LA’s most iconic spots. Here’s how our week would unfold:

Day 1:

Explore The Getty Museum for art, architecture, and panoramic views
Enjoy a pasta lunch at La Piazza, The Grove, followed by shopping
End with dinner at The Rooftop by JG, Waldorf Astoria, Beverly Hills

Day 2:

Stroll through the Venice Canals and visit Venice Beach
Lunch at High Rooftop, Hotel Erwin, with beach views
Dinner at Catch in West Hollywood for seafood and ambiance
