Hi Cory, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one of kindness, positivity, and unforgettable energy. I want people to remember that I always had a smile on my face and brought light to every room I entered. I want to be remembered as someone who was the life of the party, someone who made people feel special and included. When people think of Cory Austin, I hope they think of someone who was genuine, sweet, and always spread love and good vibes. Ultimately, I want to leave a lasting impression of joy and warmth that people carry with them long after I’m gone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m passionate about photography and content creation, and my work is all about capturing beauty in the everyday whether it’s a luxurious setting, an intimate moment, or a stunning product shot. What sets me apart is my eye for detail and my ability to create content that feels elevated and aesthetically pleasing while still being approachable. I want my work to evoke a sense of luxury, but in a way that’s relatable and authentic to my audience.

Professionally, I’ve been fortunate to work with brands that align with my style, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. However, the journey to where I am today hasn’t been easy. It’s taken time to build my brand, refine my craft, and establish myself as a creator. There were challenges along the way—learning how to market myself, dealing with imposter syndrome, and navigating the ups and downs of the creative industry. But I’ve learned to stay true to my vision and trust the process.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the value of consistency. Whether it’s refining my aesthetic, building relationships with brands, or staying connected with my audience, consistency has been key. I’ve also learned that growth takes time and patience, but as long as you stay focused on your goals, the results will come.

At the heart of it all, I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just beautiful images. It’s about creating experiences through content—whether I’m showcasing a product, capturing a special moment, or telling a brand’s story. I’m here to inspire others with my work and to share my unique perspective with the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a cocktail connoisseur, I’d want to make sure my best friend experiences the best of what Houston has to offer! I’m all about the luxury vibes, so I’d definitely start with some of the city’s top cocktail lounges. We’d have to check out Clarkwood for its chic atmosphere and incredible drinks, followed by a visit to Rossa Room, an intimate and stylish speakeasy. Bandista, the hidden gem at the Four Seasons, would be another must for its luxurious vibe and craft cocktails.
For a night when we’re feeling a bit more rowdy, Best Regard is my go to spot. It’s lively, with a great DJ and an electric energy that always makes for a fun night out.

When it comes to dining, Houston is full of amazing spots. We’d definitely head to Uchiko for some of the best sushi in town. Joey Uptown is always buzzing and offers a great mix of food, drinks, and atmosphere—truly a Houston hot spot that everyone loves. Toca Madera is a beautiful new addition to the city, with incredible food and drinks that are perfect for a night out. For a fun brunch, I’d take them to MAD, known for its creative cocktails and bold Spanish cuisine.

Throughout the week, we’d dive into some of Houston’s diverse art, culture, and neighborhoods. I love the River Oaks and Rice Village areas for their upscale shopping, dining, and beautiful surroundings. The Heights has some fun spots too, with its quirky cafes, unique boutiques, and vibrant street art. Living in The Woodlands, I can’t help but recommend it for its perfect mix of city amenities and natural beauty. From scenic trails and parks to incredible dining and shopping options, The Woodlands offers a great escape with a blend of outdoor adventure and refined relaxation. With so much to explore, this itinerary would make for an unforgettable week!

Photography and capturing beautiful moments have always been passions of mine, especially when it comes to creating luxurious, visually captivating content. From a young age, I’ve always had an eye for aesthetics and took every opportunity to take pictures, especially of boys, and refine my style. Someone who has truly inspired me along the way is @lamllenel on Instagram. l absolutely love her work and how she beautifully captures moments that feel both timeless and rich with detail. Her artistry has definitely influenced my approach to photography, and I aspire to bring that same level of elegance and beauty to my own Instagram, but with my personal touch and perspective.
