Meet Adam Haro

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Haro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote comes from the film ” American Me” by Edward James Olmos.
“We make it Carnal; we don’t fake it, we take it”.
In the Industry, the expression: Fake it til you make it, is thrown around a lot; as well as “get in where you fit in”.
This way of thinking in my opinion is sickening and poisonous.
Being Fake vs Being Real
Ask yourself do you want fake friends or real ones?
People do all sorts of things for selfish reasons. Whether it’s Lying, Cheating, Stealing, or asking for money, favors, etc. Over and over again; just for 15 seconds of fame or a chance to climb to the social-economic ladder.
This creates a wall that others must try to break down; to get into your circle of trust. Even if they get in; you’re still on your toes, deducing other people’s motives and intentions.
Pretending to be something you’re not; or hiding secrets takes a lot of work to keep up the charade, and eventually ends.
I believe we are all god’s creatures. God gives to us, and lives through us, each and every day. God sends angels and devils into our lives so we can learn more about ourselves and fulfill our desires.
Some other quotes I try to live by are:
The most important thing we can hope, pray, or ask for; is that our desires coincide with God’s will. -DMX
Life is like a gym. If you look over to the right, there’s somebody in
better shape than you. But if you look to your left, there’s someone who would die to be in your position – IceT
Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity
– Seneca
The currency of our New Age is Authenticity – Robert Meyer Burnett

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Currently, I freelance using resources such as Staff Me Up & Production Hub to find my next gig.
I continue to reach out to my network and collaborate with others; as well as, attending events or covering them as Media and Press.
I am also writing my own material to direct, reading the best books on storytelling, and launching a podcast soon.
My goal is to have the best of both worlds. I love the world of Entertainment Journalism as well as the Film Business. By establishing my brand in Video Journalism I continue to receive invites and opportunities to spaces and places full of wonder.
With the power of storytelling, and with my imagination, creativity, and vision I am not like the rest.
I absorbed theme, structure, lighting, camera, sound, and all the various skills needed to produce Multi-Media.
Being a Jack of all trades and a master of none is more helpful down the road.
Thanks to all the professors, mentors, friends, and family in my life I have faith not only in myself but in god.
It hasn’t been all easy; they say “Be careful not to burn bridges, you may need to cross again later”. Nobody tells you this but the film business can be shady at times.
Not all money is good money. There is so much ego and entitlement around the entertainment industry; a lot of favors go around hoping to lead to a paid gig.
I have had 2 business relationships that have come to an end and truthfully it sucks.
Backstabbing and betrayal are just a part of the experience in business.
I’ve also had great experiences; I remember working on a short film for a competition sponsored by AT&T. We took 2nd place and that was an incredible moment for myself and my team.
I remember attending a private screening hosted by Collider (Media Outlet) where I got to meet the Directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Avengers Infinity War & Avengers Endgame. Needless to say, this was a dream come true.
I’ve learned so many things on this journey; I think of these 3 quotes “Never take anything for granted”; “If you’re good at something, never do it for free”, and “You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.
Ultimately, I am here to provide a service of value; if you have a problem I’m here to fix it.
I am here to help others’ dreams come true for I am already living it.

With all that being said, I am eager to see what this next chapter in my life will entail.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Exploring the Town The city of Angels is full of amazing sights and delicious food.
In Hollywood, there are so many places to visit depending on the mood. For tourism, I know a great TMZ tour guide, Melissa Weiner.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Chinese Theater, Egyptian Theater, El Capitan, and Capital Records are a must-see. Also a hike to the Hollywood sign is fun!
Universal City Walk is a great place to see as well as Universal Studios & Warner Brothers. They both offer tours. I’ve been lucky to attend both and it was fun being able to take some photos on the set of “Friends” and finding memorable souvenirs.
For Drinks I usually like to be on a rooftop, here’s some places that I’ve been that I recommend; Mama Shelter, SkyBar, The Godfrey, the Roosevelt Hotel
Pershing Square, Little Tokyo, The Reserve, The Last Bookstore are all nice places in Downtown LA. If you’re feeling artsy there’s a ton of museums to check out such as the Broadway Museum & Academy Museum.
Santa Monica Beach, Venice, Malibu or Huntington Beach for the LA weather, the Santa Monica Pier and Venice walkway are nice to visit.
Pan Pacific Park & the Grove is a great time for fitness or tourism, don’t forget about the farmers market,
Melrose Blvd is known for the latest fashion trends. CoolKicks being the hottest shoe store in town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I thank god for the love and strength he gives me every day.
My love for Cinema was created through the many times; my grandmother, mother, brother, and I would go to the Theater.
I’d like to thank my family for always supporting me to pursue storytelling as a career. I attended Santa Monica College to study film production.
Being the first to graduate college in my family was a big accomplishment for me, and the friends I made along the way are precious.
Billy, Shannon, Angelo, Wolf, Vivian, Linnea just to name a few real ones.
I’d also like to thank Parker Scott! We met as coworkers at Target, eventually blossoming into our passion.
After collaborating on our first-ever photoshoot Parker and I ended up covering a Halloween red carpet capturing interviews for a media outlet called “WhereistheBuzz”.
This is where my journey into Video journalism began. From Movie Premieres, Fashion Shows, Networking events and so much more. I am truly thankful that I am now in the right space.
Many Thanks to Wayne Ayers CEO at WhereistheBuzz, an online media company that breaks down the biggest news in Entertainment.
I’d also like to thank Robert Meyer Burnett, John Truby, Christopher Vogler, Ashley Dunn, Tanisha LaVerne Grant, Lyricc Jones, John Campea, Kristian Harloff, John Rocha and so many more; who inspire me to continue the journey even when it’s rough.
