We had the good fortune of connecting with Mriana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mriana, how do you think about risk?
Risks are an important part of the film industry. like Abel Morales said “when it feels scary to jump, that is exactly when you jump.” I moved to Los Angeles 3 weeks after my 19th birthday. I didn’t know anyone in California but like all opportunities, I trusted my instincts. I felt a rush of fear and excitement, which was the perfect cocktail for my career. As an actor, to stand out you constantly take risks regardless of the norm. Each step will take me to the right path, you don’t know what lies ahead of you until you discover it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been given the opportunity to collaborate with a lot of talented individuals this year. I have two feature films, TV special and many more coming in 2025. Professionally, it took a lot of hard work, studying and dedication. Mentally, self love taught me to believe in myself. One lesson that I’ve learned throughout my journey is, If you want something you dive in full force, Make sure your eyes are open, your heart and mind. See, to get the results, Feel with your heart and trust your instinct, Clear your mind to believe in yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are many things I love about LA and one being the diversity of our food. My favorite taco spot in Los Angeles would have to be Pablitos Tacos, located in North Hollywood, CA. Then while in the valley you have to stop and check out Valley Relics in Van Nuys, CA. On your way to the beach, you should stop by city walk in Studio City, great place for family time. At night you have to stop and pick up some snacks and a smore’s kit to have a beach bonfire with your friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would be lying, if I said my journey was an easy one. I struggled with mental blocks and self doubt. As yes we are our own biggest hater but also we can be our biggest supporter, if your mindset is adjusted. To my siblings, who always cheered my on, no matter how big or small the accomplishment was. To my dad, who always instilled me to tackle my dreams and never doubted me once. To my mother, who never gave up on me and always encouraged me to be myself. To my childhood best friend, who always supported me and saw the good and bad times and still loved me regardless. To my acting friends, who understand the struggle and always inspire me everyday. I couldn’t thank you enough.
