Our Linked Prosperity: how local businesses are helping their communities

Most of the media often paints all businesses with a single stroke, but in our experience businesses are each unique and so many of them are focused on making the world a better place. We’ve highlighted a few such gems below.

When I started Cute Little Spots, I really wanted to focus on helping local and small businesses in the Los Angeles and Orange County community. I love learning the stories behind their businesses, why they started, and what keeps them going. Working alongside local businesses has been one of my favorite aspects about my page! I hope my page continues to grow and is a platform to support local and small businesses in the community. Read more>>

At JOYN, our mission is to help people feel more confident and comfortable while drinking. Ever since I started drinking, I would turn bright red after 1 sip of alcohol. I love what I do, it is truly a large piece of who I am. Intertwined with that love and passion is the passion I have for service to my community, locally and globally.
Our medical system in the western world is largely broken and operating on life support. In addition to this very sick broken system is the fundamental principals it relies upon which are unsustainable (plastic waste for example) and the pharmaceutical interventions the system relies upon rather than a much deeper and wider approach to truly healing human society to be fundamentally healthier. Most see the ancient and enduring practice of medicine I practice as a novel alternative, fringe and somehow less powerful. This is simply ignorance out of what they truly do not know or understand. In late 2019, I began my journey into sailing, starting as a photographer and eventually becoming a sailor. I was welcomed by the sailing community, both online and in person, but quickly realized how overwhelming it could be to navigate the wealth of scattered information. Racing documents were spread across various platforms, and finding crew or boats to sail on was equally challenging, with many yacht club resources not publicly accessible. Even with social media, I often missed important events, clinics, and seminars. Read more>>

Appreciate the question, so we wouldn’t fit the traditional mold when it comes to a huge community social impact when you first hear about us. Being a mobile beverage catering company that focuses on bringing the party and a long lasting impression isn’t the first thing that rings community. But on the other hand it brings people together, for special events. That’s what community is to us, so we focused on how we could give back, reaching out to non profits and special event planners. That’s where we found a great community of locals who enjoy giving back! And started donating our service to help raise funds for each of their special causes! Read more>>
