We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Orozco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I been a hustler my whole life , i always like fashion and accessories. So I thought to my self why don’t I make my own clothing brand with a strong meaning no matter the work you do for living at the end of the day everyone is taking a risk as soon as they step out there house .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So 6 years ago I was working as a mechanic at Firestone complete auto care . I was tired of working in that industry due to lack of management. So I Quit and I applied to Los Angeles apparel. It was a full 360 change for me I had no idea of manufacturing clothing.. so with in the years I worked my way up from packing orders to team lead to supervisor now I’m in the manger position for sewing. I had to learn how to measure stitching and how piece by piece everything was made it took me almost a year to get everything memorized. I had long days that would be 12 to 14 hours at the factory sometime I would stay on my own free time so I can get better understanding of a style or project . Little by little I started to like the sewing and manufacturing industry . Just like that I knew all my styles and I was called for special projects . One huge lesson I learn is some time you have to put the effort to get out your comfort zone . By getting out of your comfort zone you open a whole new world .Many of my old mechanics friends will make fun of me saying why did I went to a job where there’s elderly old people and a feminine work environment . My answer was I learn how 8 dollar shirt become a 2,000 dollar shirt . I’m truly happy I choose this Career because it taught me how to run my clothing brand and what’s hot on the market and what someone like to wear during certain season … I want to let the world know my brand RISK TAKERS LOS ANGELES is for everyone and everything in your daily life . Take a risk or lose the chance , don’t be a “what if “ person. Get out your comfort zone you never know what the world will bring right to your front steps .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First for most I would take them to a brewery in downtown LA name art district brewery food and drinks there are so good . After would take them to
The pier like Vince walk around see the day life and all the attractions they have there .. can’t go wrong with a walk in the Hollywood stars . Take them to universal studio Hollywood and or six flags magic mounts.. go out to dinner at castaway steak house

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First for most i would love to shout out all my friends and family . Thanks to them for always sharing my merchandise on there social platforms. I would love to give a shout out to Eddie scla for showing me the process of how to screen print. He’s an upcoming rapper from south central LA . A huge special shout out to my cousin jayr truu he has guided me and push me to continue this brand no matter what life throws at me . Sweaty beats always supporting the brand giving us shout outs on his YouTube channel is truly a blessing . And last but not least my boy santos for always giving me advice and investing in my crazy ideas never questioned it just always backed me up .
