Meet Nancy Arambula

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Arambula and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nancy, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important thing in Nattiva Events is customer service, to connect with our clients and present a high-end event decoration is our focus and I believe that’s part of our success.
Connecting with our clients and deliver something on top of what they expect is crucial and the most important factor so They will come back to us and not to the competition.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nattiva Events started in May 2020 when the pandemic started and I wanted to deliver some happiness and smiles between the hard times. One day I just decided I was going to learn how to create balloon garlands because I found it interesting and super creative and got inspired by other balloon artists and decided to take online classes to learn more about balloons, sizes, types, etc. I became obsessed on how much you can create with balloons because it’s ART.
It was not easy at the beginning because no one believed I could create a business out of balloons. I had my full time job but one day I decided to quit and start my own business called Nattiva Events, which Nativo(a) means born in a certain place referring to myself because I was born and raised in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 14 and wanted to integrate my proudness of being Mexican into my business.
I no only took balloon classes, I took marketing/ social media classes to develop a business that will last and grow through time. In my second year of business I created over 280 events in 1 year and continued to grow through the years. I created a YouTube channel where I teach tips and techniques in Spanish and help other entrepreneurs learn more about this business. I also started giving master classes in person because I discovered that another passion I have is teaching.
Nattiva Events is here to bring joy, happiness in a nice luxury style but it’s also a platform for entrepreneurs that are starting in the business so they can learn, be part of a community and get inspired by my story.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friends for a nice lunch to Malibu Cafe and have a relax time after that at Cielo farms for a nice view and dinner drinking some wine and eating pizza. Next day i will have lunch at Geoffreys Malibu and drive through freeway 1 from Malibu to Santa Monica for a beautiful beach view and stop at Third st Promenade for a walk and will end the day visiting Santa Monica pier.
On the third day I will definitely take them to Getty Museum to get a nice view of DTLA, take them to eat to Mama por Dios for some delicious modern mexican cuisine and end the day at The grove for a walk.
Next days I will take them to my town Thousand Oaks for some shopping at the Oaks, some drinks at Tarantula Hill Brewing and eat some delicious mexican food at Los Agaves restaurant in Westlake Village.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize my boyfriend Jonathan Huerta because without him it wouldn’t have been possible, he was my #1 supporter since the beginning and he was the only one that believed in me when I started because no one believed I will make a business out of balloons.
