We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolina Nuñez Bussolini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolina, why did you pursue a creative career?
Hello, I’m Carolina Nuñez Bussolini, a visual artist from Argentina with a lifelong passion for art. My journey began at a young age, creating on any scrap of paper I could find. Today, I’m inspired by the beauty of music and nature, letting colors and forms flow freely in each piece.

My path has led me to explore a wide range of materials and techniques, though abstract art has always felt like home. I see color as pure energy and love blending and transforming it into something unique. A long-held dream of mine was to bring my art into fashion, which I realized with a collection of silk scarves inspired by my paintings. I sell this in my website and etsy shop Artcn Gallery

My work has been exhibited internationally, Carrousel Del Louvre and as a finalist representing Argentina at the Global Art Awards in Dubai.

In 2022, my family and I moved to Woodbury, Minnesota. Here, I am embracing new artistic opportunities, collaborating with local businesses and continuing to share my art, including through an inspiring project with 3M for Hispanic Heritage Month in 2022

This year, I was honored to participate in Representing Latinidad for Hispanic Heritage Month in Clues St. Paul, and I’m thrilled to have my artwork and scarves featured at WestdaleFloral in Minnetonka.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an artist, I am granted the ultimate freedom to express my soul through every stroke, hue, and texture. My work is a journey of self-discovery, where music and nature intertwine to shape my creations. With each piece, I dive deep into the essence of color, letting it resonate within me and guide my hands to create something truly extraordinary.

Art is more than a visual experience; it’s a symphony of emotions and sensations that flow through me, pouring onto the canvas with every ounce of my being. I let music lead me to uncharted territories of creativity and imagination, transforming each moment into a unique expression.

The true magic happens when I share my art with the world. Witnessing the myriad interpretations and emotions it evokes in others is a testament to its ability to connect and inspire.

Whenever I approach a blank canvas, I draw inspiration from music and nature, immersing myself in sound and color. My artistic journey has led me to explore diverse materials, from recycled sculptures to digital art, though abstract art remains my true calling. I see color as pure energy, delighting in blending and experimenting to create works open to endless interpretations.

Since 2017, I have fully committed to selling my art, embracing larger canvases and vibrant acrylics to express my vision. In Argentina, I had the privilege of participating in over 30 exhibitions, supported by a welcoming artist community that encouraged me at the beginning of my journey.

One of my long-held dreams was to transform my art into fashion. After countless hours of dedication, I brought this vision to life through a collection of silk scarves inspired by my paintings.

Being an artist is a path of resilience, growth, and gratitude. It demands skills beyond creation, from self-promotion and gallery networking to navigating new trends. The biggest challenge lies in making our work visible—discovering the ‘how,’ ‘where,’ and ‘when’ to share it with the world.

Ultimately, art is a journey of self-discovery and connection. I look forward to collaborating with galleries and designers to continue expanding my artistic horizons and sell in my new Etsy Shop my collection of Phone cases and more. I invite you all to take a look. Thanks

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll take them to the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Walker Art Center, where they can enjoy art and grab a bite to eat, then walk through the Sculpture Garden. We can visit the Mill City Museum and the Guthrie Theater, ending the day with a stroll along the river. Finally, we can walk through the city and choose a restaurant with live music for dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve always dreamed of studying Fine Arts, but many people advised against it as a career. So, I initially pursued Economics and later Architecture. While working full-time, balancing courses became difficult, and eventually, I graduated in Public Relations. Over 15 years, I worked across various fields, also training in alternative medicine, including Reiki and gemmotherapy.

My curiosity led me to explore countless books, religions, philosophies, and ancient symbolism, all with one goal: to understand myself deeply. These questions guided me toward self-discovery and expanded my understanding of humanity.

Meanwhile, painting was always there, my sanctuary in art workshops during my free time. Years ago, my partner encouraged me to fully embrace my passion for painting, reminding me to be the artist I’d always aspired to become.

Now, with my family’s constant support, I am fully devoted to creating art. I won’t give up on this path, no matter the challenges. This journey is who I am, and I am eager to share my art with the world.
