Meet Yvette Marie | Photographer & Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yvette Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yvette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I came from a family of entrepreneurs, so it was very natural to me. I’m always someone that was pretty fearless and felt like I wanted to create my own company.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m really proud how much I’ve nurtured my talent and figured out ways to market myself I’m proud of myself for never giving up on me but also it’s not easy. I see it kind of with rose colored glasses in the sense that everything I touch or see I has an artistic vibe about it. It may be my Art or Photography to design it is a gift that I continuously nurture and I’m always so blessed at other people appreciate it and by my work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to Malibu to El Matador. I think that’s a magical place for me. I’ve shot so much there. It’s just the energy. It’s the smell of the air. It’s the sunsets everything nature I think that is the first step and I would take them probably to Moonshadows for a drink, and then I would take them to the top of the mountain And go for a great hike in the Santa Monica Mountains eventually return back somewhere where we can watch the sunset all these things are important to me

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I really feel like a bit of a soldier in a sense that not in an arrogant way, but I have to think myself because there’s so many times people might say something negative about your work and you go through the whole mental process of that and it’s a choice either you could go dark hide and believe them or you can persevere and push yourself through Maybe I’d like to thank my mom because whatever she did it always gave me the strength to know that I can do anything and make it through anything.
