Meet Maya Kaspi | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maya Kaspi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly the thought process was fairly simple. I had a ton of ideas that I knew I wanted to build something with. I had been working for a digital marketing agency that I loved for a few years but I still felt like I wasn’t doing my dream job. My goals started to consume me and I realized it was time to build something fully focused on my true passion. I have always loved being a fan and my heart lies within working and improving the fan experience. I knew since I was a young age that I eventually wanted to start a company of my own so that I could build something from the ground up exactly the way I wanted to, it just took me some time to narrow down exactly what I wanted the focus to be. When creating the Blueprint Stan Experience the goal was simple and that was I wanted to spend the rest of my life being a fan and working to create an atmosphere of magic.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have truly built my life about my love of being a fan. Instead of going to school for music business I got my first music industry jobs because of everything I did as a fan. I discovered a boyband in 2016 that really fueled my desire to work in music. I decided right away I would do everything I possibly could to work for them. I built fan projects, travelled the world and made sure everyone knew what my goals were. Eventually the company doing their digital marketing offered me an internship and then a full time job. Shortly after, the band was officially added to my roster. Although it sounds like a dream situation it definitely was not easy. I had to work incredibly hard to be taken seriously especially when fans are often looked at as crazy or untrustworthy. For the longest time I thought in order to be taken seriously, I had to outgrow being a fan. I now realize that isn’t the case. You can be a fan and a professional at the same time.
I am most proud of my heart and my morals with everything I do. I am also incredibly excited about the Blueprint app and the features we are building to ensure that fans can make the most out of their concert experience.
I want the world to know that everything I am going to continue to create comes from a place of wanting to share the magic that I feel loving your favorite artist creates. That concert atmosphere is one that you can’t replicate anywhere else. All I want to do is make people happy and help spread the joy I feel from loving music.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is such a fun questions. I would start by taking them to my favorite brunch spot in West Hollywood – The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker. I would order their pancakes with a side of their breakfast potatoes. If it was a Sunday we would of course stop by the Melrose Trading Post afterwards. We would probably walk around The Grove and grab a snack from the Farmers Market. If we chose to stay in the area some of the bars we would end up at would be Barney’s Beanery, EP LP, or The Naughty Pig. If I were to stay in the valley some of my favorite spots include the arcade bar Player One, Granville for their grilled cheese and tomato soup and Whatapeach for coffee. We would probably go bowling at Corbin bowl and shopping at The Americana that typically ends the day with dinner at Din Tai Fung.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people I would love to shoutout because I am so beyond lucky to have so many incredible people in my corner. I would however like to take this moment to shoutout my incredible mom. I would not be able to accomplish any of this if it wasn’t for her having her support every step of the way. Since I was a little kid my mom always encouraged me to follow my passions and that no dream was too big or unachievable. One of my mom’s motto’s is “it’s always a no unless you ask.” To elaborate on that it means that you truly never know the answer to something unless you go for it. Through every decision I have made my mom has been my biggest cheerleader. My story is what it is because of her.
