We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Ziuz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Just be yourself, and confidence will follow.”

While authenticity is essential, this advice oversimplifies confidence and presence. High-achieving women don’t struggle with who they are—they struggle with how they present who they are. Confidence isn’t just an internal feeling; it’s an external skill that must be refined, practiced, and aligned with one’s ambition.

A woman can be brilliant, accomplished, and self-assured, yet if her body language is hesitant, her posture lacks intention, or her energy blends into the background, she won’t command the respect or opportunities she deserves. Confidence must be expressed as much as it is felt.

A more accurate piece of advice? “Refine your presence to match your power.” Because confidence isn’t just about believing in yourself—it’s about ensuring others believe in you, too.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a self-presentation and confidence coach who helps high-achieving women refine their body language, presence, and energy to align with their ambitions. My background in dance, public speaking, and leadership across politics, finance, and tech gives me a unique perspective on the intersection of presence and influence.

I work with businesswomen, solopreneurs, creatives, and professionals who are already confident but want to elevate their presence to command attention effortlessly. My coaching focuses on refining posture, movement, facial expressions, and micro-body language cues to create a powerful, magnetic presence—whether on stage, in a boardroom, at a photoshoot, or in daily interactions.

What sets me apart is my ability to transform presence from an abstract concept into a tangible, trainable skill. I provide detailed, actionable strategies tailored to each client’s goals—whether they’re preparing for an investor pitch, a media appearance, or a high-profile event.

One of my proudest moments? Coaching a client who went on to win Mrs. International. Her transformation wasn’t just about looking poised—it was about embodying a presence that made her unforgettable. Because mastering presence isn’t just about confidence—it’s about impact.

But getting here wasn’t easy. I walked away from a successful corporate career to build something that had no blueprint. While many around me sought security, I chose uncertainty—because I knew the power of what I was creating. I faced skepticism from colleagues and even loved ones who couldn’t understand why I would leave a predictable path for something so undefined.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Mastering presence is mastering opportunity. When you show up with certainty, people listen. When you refine the way you carry yourself, doors open. And when your presence matches your ambition, nothing is out of reach.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
LA is a city of layers – glamour, ambition, creativity – and I’d design an experience that captures the energy and elegance this city is known for. If my best friend were visiting, I’d want her to feel inspired, empowered, and fully immersed in the beauty and boldness of LA.

We’d begin in Beverly Hills, where the atmosphere naturally elevates your energy. From boutique shopping on Rodeo Drive to refined cafés and elegant galleries, it’s not just about style – it’s about presence. Many of LA’s most influential fashion, business, and lifestyle events for women happen here, making it a cultural center for the kind of ambition and refinement I work with every day.

For nature and movement, Griffith Park is a must. Whether it’s hiking up to the Observatory or just taking in the views, there’s something grounding about seeing LA from above. It gives you that moment of perspective before diving back into the energy of the city.

Of course, a high heels dance class is non-negotiable. LA is home to some of the world’s top-tier dancers, and there’s no better place to experience the fusion of movement and feminine power. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned mover, this class isn’t just about steps – it’s about owning your space, refining your presence, and expressing confidence through your body.

For relaxation, I’d plan an afternoon in Manhattan Beach – where the coast meets calm energy. We’d enjoy a long lunch overlooking the ocean, take our heels off, and let the sea breeze carry the conversation. It’s the kind of effortless moment that lingers – because presence isn’t always loud; sometimes, it’s quiet and grounded.
LA isn’t just a destination – it’s a rhythm, a pulse, a feeling. And some of the most inspiring, magnetic women I know call it home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to recognize The Modern Day Wife Community and its incredible co-founders, Meagan Elieff and Meghan Fialkoff. This community is a testament to the power of women supporting women—breaking barriers, redefining success, and creating spaces where confidence thrives, presence commands respect, and ambition knows no limits.

Being part of this network of strong, driven women has been a gift. It’s more than just events – it’s about real connections, genuine support, and the kind of empowerment that propels us all forward. I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible like-minded women through this community, and witnessing firsthand how we elevate each other has been truly inspiring.

Here’s to the women who uplift, encourage, and create opportunities for one another. Success isn’t just about what we achieve – it’s about who we rise with.
