Meet Robb Hayes | Hip Hop Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Robb Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robb, what matters most to you?
Being a man of integrity. I have always valued staying true to yourself, even when life gets tough. You can allow growth, while being honest with who you are and your values.
The music industry is a world full of creatives and with trends changing all the time. Its important to trust in who YOU and the process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a hip hop artist/songwriter, raised in Kentucky but transitioned to Minnesota and Cali! Its been an amazing journey so far! Most proud of myself for taking the leap, not for just myself but for others who follow! Never did I think I would have the courage to try to tackle such a major feat, but lifes lessons along the way helped. It helps to celebrate the smallest wins, those matter so much!
People who are dreamers have asked time and time again, “how did I make the decision to chase my dreams?” That answer is easy, ” I love it”. It gets no better than that! Now this isnt easy, as a creative we tend to be our harshist critics. And comparison is the theif of joy, but what does that mean when you have grown up from inspiration? My core foundation is goofy, happy and informative. Some say that reminds them if Will Smith! I cant say I have any problem with that!
Along the way I have faced many challenges, its just the name of the game. But I learned to stay focused, try again, understand my music is not for everyone and most importantly cut off the outside noise. Your fans will grow from authenticity. Thats what they are here for! Be you! Be authentically, raw, you! My story is not finished, its so much growth to be had!
I am the jiggy guy! If the world met me today, we would laugh! My story is about overcoming fears and insecurities. Doing something for yourself is never a failure.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First of all, they need to be prepared for the traffic! Once thats covered, we would hit Santa Monica Pier! Its a fave for newbies! Then In & Out Burger, which is a fave from out of towners, not mine! Maybe visit The Broad afterwords and thats it for day 1! Traffic will drain us! Then the rest of the week we will go to the Grove, see the Kobe/Shaq statue, go shopping, go to great restaurants, even drive to my favorits beach, Laguna! Now I also do love Koreatown, there are some great food spots there!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all I wanna give a huge shoutout to my childhood friends and til this day, Brian, George & Monie! They helped me find the courage to chase these crazy dreams! Every individual is attached with inspiration that I just admire daily! Henry & Mitch for the tough love & growth, keeping me humble enough to respect the journey. Nothing without them!
