Today we’re excited to be connecting with Wayne Gurnick again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Wayne, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
It has certainly been a while since our last meeting in February 2017! So much in our world has remained the same, even more has changed. First, I am still that “party planner” or should I say special event planner, designer, coordinator, advisor, confidant and all around concerned individual that makes exceptional memories happen for exceptional clients.

The bottom line is still that as I said back in 2017, “I work with amazing clients that allow me to step into their lives and create moments that they and their guests will remember forever.” That has not changed. What has changed is that I now have the incredible opportunity to slow down a bit…. yes, I am a bit older and also a bit wiser… and take on projects that have become my passion. I believe that my designs have become so much better, and informed and fueled by clients that allow me to take them on a journey.

I have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world for work and pleasure. These travels have expanded my world view and fueled my creativity… and now I am expanding my reach to help my clients step out of their expected and into their extraordinary.

I see the desire to push the boundaries for where and how people gather and celebrate.

* South of France – the epitome of a luxurious and effortless French lifestyle

* Morocco – The unexpected sites and sounds and flavors of another culture

* Spain – The joy and exuberance of discovering a small 700-year old town that is both ancient and vibrant

* Italy – The joy of everything! Specifically the little cafe in a hill top town where exceptional hospitality is the norm. Think about a great wine, an exceptional pasta, shared with the people you love

* Fiji – The intense blue water and sky as the perfect backdrop to a tropical dream

* India – The colors, the pageantry, the extreme joy, the flavors… everything so different and yet the connection to humanity that is so familiar

I am now focusing on taking my clients to the far away… the exotic, the romantic, the exceptional places around the world where they are excited to celebrate their love, for the destination weddings of their dreams.

I continue to make dreams into moments of joy!

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
I have always been proud of so many things in my life. When I look back, I think about my family, friends and clients that have loved me, helped me in so many immeasurable ways and kept me in check in such kind ways when I strayed from the right path. The question only allows me to mention three though….

I am proud of my clients who have inspired me to reach further than I ever thought I could to plan and design some of the most memorable events of their lives that they will remember forever.

I am proud of my friends who have been there for me and my family through thick and thin and still honor me with their friendship.

Most of all, I am proud of my wife, my three sons and two daughters-in-law ( I consider them my daughters!!)… oh, and my brand new grandson!!! These are the real people that keep me in check, aren’t afraid to tell me when I am wrong, treat me with kindness all the time, and love me unconditionally. They inspire me to be the best that I can be even when I am not feeling very “best.” I am proud that they are all amazing, kind and loving no matter what. I am proud that in some small way, I have had a part in guiding them to all be the best that they can be.
