We had the good fortune of connecting with Nichole England and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own makeup business came from a deep passion for beauty and empowering others to feel confident in their own skin. After working in the industry for over 18 years—13 of those with MAC and five as a regional trainer—I realized how much I loved connecting with people and teaching them how to enhance their natural beauty. I wanted more freedom to express my artistry, build my own brand, and create a life where I could balance doing what I love with being present for my family. Starting my business was about stepping into my purpose, owning my talent, and creating something that truly reflects who I am—not just as an artist, but as a woman, a mother, and a visionary.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I first fell in love with makeup in high school, sneaking backstage at every theatre production to help my classmates get camera‑ready. Those early nights—blending eyeshadows under dim lights and experimenting with bold looks—taught me that makeup is as much about storytelling as it is about technique.

The moment I turned 18, I left PE class early, ran for a quick shower, and walked straight into my first MAC interview. Over the next thirteen years, I climbed the corporate ladder—soaking up every bit of training, working multiple seasons at New York Fashion Week, and traveling across the country with the brand. Each opportunity sharpened my skills and showed me how transformative a professional approach can be.

While editorial work was thrilling, my favorite moments came doing bridal and special‑event makeup. There’s something uniquely rewarding about helping someone step into one of the most important days of their life, knowing they’ll look back on those photos for decades.

Leaving a stable 9–to–5 to launch my own business wasn’t easy. I faced late nights learning marketing, the uncertainty of client bookings, and moments of self‑doubt. But every “no” taught me resilience, every hesitant first appointment became a referral, and every challenge reinforced why I chose this path.

What sets me apart is the blend of theatrical creativity, corporate‑level precision, and genuine care I bring to each client. I believe makeup should amplify who you already are, not mask you. My goal is simple: to make everyone who sits in my chair feel confident, authentic, and ready to shine.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
These are a few of my favorites!

• Morning Drive: Cruise the PCH up to Malibu (windows down!).
• Brunch: Malibu Farm at the pier—fresh, farm‑to‑table with ocean views.
• Beach Time: Chill at El Matador State Beach (sea caves, dramatic cliffs).
• Late Lunch: Tacos at Malibu Seafood, then maybe a quick wine tasting at Malibu Wines.
• Sunset: Swing by Point Dume for clifftop views.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my Mom and Dad for always believing in me, my amazing husband, my daughter, and my loyal clients. Your love, support, and encouragement mean everything—I wouldn’t be here without you.
