We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricco Burris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ricco, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My ability to learn from others and my obsession with learning. You have to be willing to be a student. I read, study, gather as much information about your industry, marketing, advertising, etc and apply it to my business. Also, falling in love with the process and using “failure” as a learning experience.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe the overall brand mission sets Franchise Clothing Company apart. Ironically, the mission is parallel to the mission for equal rights going on in America as we speak. Franchise is about demanding what you’ve earned, be it a promotion, scholarship, raise, praise, sports, school, family, or anything else you’ve excelled in and haven’t gotten your proper value…and being UNAPOLOGETIC about it. I try and present that with bold color ways and designs that tow the line of fashionable and bold!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For sure we would hit my city, Long Beach CA! I’d take him downtown to see the pike, hit Roscoes, and the beach. After that, we would hit La Live and catch Lebron drop 30! Then we would hit up the world famous laugh factory in Hollywood and some nightclubs after. The next day, we would take a trip to Vegas and hit the strip. Whatever happens there, stays there lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to Damon Matthews, Rest In Peace, and the rest of the Franchise crew!
