We had the good fortune of connecting with Alli Cox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alli, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always known I’ve wanted to start my own business. I knew I wanted to be my own boss and create my own hours. I’ve always been one to think up business ideas. When I picked up my camera and my friends were getting engaged, it all clicked that this is what I wanted to do with my life!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of the fact that I actually started my business. Sometimes the biggest hurdle is to just start. How I got started professionally was the belief in myself and confidence that I could just do it. I also had some amazing friends who believed in me and even some friends who let me photograph their wedding when I had just started. To me this business has been seamless and such a blessing that the challenges don’t feel hard. I enjoy pushing through any obstacles to continue to level up. I’ve learned to enjoy the process and whatever is thrown at me is just another thing I can learn to grow my business. I want the world to know that you don’t have to take life so seriously, take a shot and see what happens!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to Laguna Beach. I would stay at Pacific Edge Hotel and go to the most beautiful beaches such as Shaws Cove. We would lay out and then go explore around the beach town and shop at all the great boutiques. We would eat at shake shack and get ice cream there as well. Some of the most exciting things to do is to go explore stunning beaches, try out new unique foods and dessert!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my Dad, he has always been such a hard worker. He taught me how to be a hard worker and how to succeed in life. He always makes sure we know what is most important though, which is family!
