We had the good fortune of connecting with Rich Bracken and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rich, what do you attribute your success to?
I would have to say the genuine connection, care, and empathy I bring to all of my interactions has helped me build my brand most effectively. Plus, I genuinely have fun with all of my presentations and engagements.

I want people to be empowered, but also entertained in the process.

That especially comes through in my emotional intelligence/DJ keynote where I play music from the stage and get people to sing and dance while also helping them discover their greatest opportunities for improvement.

When it comes to speakers and coaches, you have to give a damn about who you’re working with to truly make an impact. I want to know their struggles and I have a gift of people feeling comfortable and opening up to me quickly. That level of trust is important to me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The consistent piece of feedback I get from clients about how working with me is different comes down to my combination of empathy, empowerment, and entertainment.

Event planners love hearing that I used to be one myself, so my high level of care and empathy for what they’re going through, combined with my low-maintenance approach to working with me makes their lives so much easier.

When it comes time for the events themselves, I pour my heart into the preparation and delivery of my custom keynotes.

I am extremely proud of my ability to get people to have fun while they’re improving themselves through my content. Specifically with my emotional intelligence/DJ keynote, I’ve had the privilege of working with groups, small and extremely large, to bring a unique approach to keynote delivery.

Any time you have people smiling, laughing, singing, and dancing while realizing that they truly have the opportunity to pursue what they want in life is everything to me.

The growth of my business is a similar story to other entrepreneurs that I talk with. Everything from battling imposter syndrome to being a one person show wearing all of the hats has had its challenges, but I’ve consistently gotten better and found new ways to keep growing and improving.

I will say that I was recently called an “imminent household name” by one of my clients who remarked that what I do and how I interact is so different that everyone should and will know who I am.

It’s a blessing to do what I do and how I uniquely do it to bring a different event experience to every engagement.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll have to flip this one back on the audience as I visit LA frequently and would love to know where I should go.

I’m a huge fan of the intimate, unique places to eat and drink.

Also, as a house music DJ, I would love to come back out and play somewhere in LA soon!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this to all of my colleagues, clients, friends, and family who have believed in my pursuit of what I’m meant to do.
