Meet Ariel Bowie

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Bowie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ariel, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
One piece of conventional advice I disagree with is ‘Just follow your passion and everything will work out.’ It sounds nice, but it’s reckless. Passion alone doesn’t pay the bills or build wealth. I’ve watched talented people burn out chasing inspiration without a plan. Purpose matters. But you need discipline, clear strategy, and execution to create something real and sustainable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets my business apart is that most advisors stop at spreadsheets. I go deeper. I help clients understand why they spend, save, and invest the way they do.
I blend behavioral finance with real estate strategy. Most advisors work in silos – they’ll handle your 401k or sell you real estate, but they don’t connect the dots. I look at the whole person and help clients build wealth across multiple channels while addressing the psychology that drives their decisions. It’s about creating a complete financial ecosystem, not just picking investments.
I’m proud of building a practice that feels human. Clients trust me with their biggest goals and their hardest questions, not just their account balances.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I had to confront my own doubts and keep showing up when things felt uncertain. I invested heavily in my education and stayed focused on serving people, not just selling to them.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is simple: information alone doesn’t change lives. Consistent action does.
I want people to know that financial freedom isn’t reserved for the wealthy. It’s available to anyone willing to learn and take the first step.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Long Beach for a week, we’d be in for an incredible time blending classic SoCal vibes with some unique local gems.
Here’s our “Best Time Ever” itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to the Shore!
* Arrival & Chill: Pick ’em up from the airport and whisk them away to a cool Belmont Shore or Naples Airbnb. We’ll get settled, ditch the bags, and breathe in that ocean air.
* Stroll & Sip: We’d hit 2nd Street in Belmont Shore. It’s Long Beach’s chill main street – perfect for window shopping, soaking up the sun, and grabbing an iced coffee.
* Seafood Feast: Dinner at Roe Seafood. It’s all about fresh catches, a vibrant patio, and sharing some amazing oysters and perfectly grilled fish.
* Nightcap: A swanky cocktail at The Sip or, if we’re feeling more laid-back, a local craft brew at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing.
Day 2: Canal Cruises & Underwater Worlds
* Morning Glide: A Gondola Ride through the Naples Canals. It’s like Venice, but with a unique Long Beach twist. Super peaceful and totally beautiful.
* Lunch with a View: Grab a casual, delicious bite at Nick’s on 2nd or the slightly more upscale, but still relaxed, Saint & Second.
* Ocean Wonders: Dive into the Aquarium of the Pacific. This place is world-class, and we could easily get lost for hours watching the sharks and jellies.
* Waterfront Dinner: Boathouse on the Bay for dinner. The views of the marina are killer, and the food’s fantastic.
* Evening Stroll: A leisurely walk along the Rainbow Harbor esplanade, soaking in the lights.
Day 3: Downtown Arts & Global Flavors
* Breakfast Fuel: Kick off the day with a hearty breakfast at The Breakfast Bar downtown – classic comfort food done right.
* Art & Boutiques: Explore the East Village Arts District. We’ll pop into independent shops, check out art galleries, and admire the awesome street murals. Coffee at Berlin Bistro is a must.
* Lunch Fiesta: Lola’s Mexican Cuisine for truly authentic Mexican food. Their mole is legendary!
* Cultural Immersion: A visit to the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), a vibrant hidden gem.
* Dinner & Drinks: Padre for modern Oaxacan cuisine and killer cocktails, or Fuego at Hotel Maya for Latin American flavors and incredible skyline views of Downtown Long Beach.
* Night Out: Catch a show at the Long Beach Convention Center if something’s on, or hit up some Downtown bars like District Wine for a chill vibe or The Blind Donkey for a speakeasy feel.
Day 4: Island Escape!
* Catalina Adventure: Full-day ferry trip to Catalina Island (Avalon). This is quintessential SoCal and a total escape.
* Island Fun: Rent a golf cart to explore the island’s hills and views, maybe try snorkeling or parasailing, or just chill on the beach.
* Island Eats: Fresh seafood for lunch or dinner in Avalon at Bluewater Grill or The Lobster Trap.
* Return Trip: Ferry back to Long Beach, tired but buzzing from our island adventure.
Day 5: Park Life & Brewery Hopping
* Morning Burritos: Start the day right with breakfast burritos from Great Mex – a local staple!
* Green Oasis: Explore El Dorado Park. We could paddle boat, check out the nature center, or simply enjoy a long walk. Or, for a step back in time, visit Rancho Los Cerritos, a beautiful historic adobe ranch.
* Brewery Tour: Hit up the best of Long Beach’s craft beer scene! Ballast Point (Long Beach location) for great views and even better brews, plus Trademark Brewing or Ambitious Ales for a taste of local craft.
* Hearty Dinner: Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden for some delicious German food and a massive beer selection – perfect after our brewery tour.
Day 6: Historic Charm & Queen Mary Majesty
* Brunch Time: A classic diner brunch at Potholder Cafe (any location) for big portions and a fun atmosphere.
* Neighborhood Gems: Explore Bixby Knolls. It’s got some cool independent shops, antique finds, and a more old-school Long Beach vibe. We’d grab a coffee at Steelhead Coffee.
* Iconic Ship: Tour the Queen Mary. This grand old dame is full of history – from the opulent ballrooms to the spooky engine rooms. We might even do a ghost tour!
* Grand Finale Dinner: A special dinner on the Queen Mary itself, maybe at Sir Winston’s Restaurant & Lounge for an unforgettable meal, or Parkers’ Lighthouse on the mainland for an amazing view of the ship lit up at night.
* Evening Wind-Down: A final walk along the shoreline, soaking in the city lights and reliving the week.
Day 7: Farewell for Now!
* Last Bites: A relaxed breakfast, perhaps at Eggs Etc. in Belmont Shore for one last taste of that easygoing beach town vibe.
* Souvenirs & Sunshine: A quick grab for any last-minute souvenirs or just one more stroll by the beach.
* Departure: Head to the airport, already making plans for the next visit!
Why this itinerary?
It’s all about showing off the real Long Beach:
* Diversity: We’re mixing urban energy, beach relaxation, history, and incredible food.

* Flavorful Fun: Long Beach’s food scene is amazing, and this trip hits all the delicious notes.
* Memories Made: It’s designed for fun, new experiences, and truly making the most of every moment. It’s the perfect blend of laid-back charm and vibrant excitement.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Shoutout: WIRE!
Absolutely, I want to shout out WIRE, Women In Real Estate. They’re fundamental to where I am today. Seriously, foundational.
Before WIRE, my approach felt siloed. I knew I wanted to help people elevate their entire financial picture. But truly integrating all aspects, especially where real estate fits into that broader strategy, felt fuzzy. WIRE changed everything. They gave me the courage to step out of that silo. They helped me truly blend all these financial components into one powerful, holistic vision.
The biggest game-changer was their platform. Becoming an LA chapter leader wasn’t just a title. It was an incredible chance to add real value to the community. WIRE empowered me. They gave me a monthly call. Here, I share the financial side of wealth building in its entirety. This includes how real estate plays a critical role within that larger strategy. It’s direct. It’s consistent. This allows me to deliver on that unified vision: helping people elevate their lives by truly understanding their complete financial landscape.
WIRE didn’t just spark a vision. They built the stage. They’ve been instrumental in connecting my passion with purpose. I’m incredibly grateful for their support. They believed in my ability to contribute, and that made all the difference.
