We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rob, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I was working at a family office, I realized that there is a gap in the ultra-high-net-worth space. Not because of lack of expertise, but because of a lack of alignment. Too many conversations were focused on beating benchmarks or pushing products, and not enough on what actually matters to the client: their lifestyle, their legacy, and how to make smart decisions with the wealth they’ve worked hard to build.

I launched my practice to change that. I wanted to create a place where wealthy individuals and tax-conscious families could get guidance that was tailored to their lives, not the agenda of a large institution. Today, we help clients preserve, grow, and enjoy their wealth—with structure, intention, and strategy that matches the complexity of their success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We advise wealthy individuals and families—often first-generation wealth creators—who want to make sure their financial success translates into a richer life, not just a bigger portfolio. Many are navigating complex transitions: retirement, liquidity events, cross-state moves, or preparing the next generation.

These clients are smart, tax-conscious, and intentional—but with more wealth comes more complexity. That’s where we come in.

At Edwards Asset Management, we provide more than just investment advice. We offer strategic thinking that helps our clients align their capital with their values. Whether that’s
minimizing taxes, preserving family harmony, or structuring wealth for generations, our approach is built on clarity, trust, and results.

What sets us apart? We don’t speak in circles. We don’t sell shiny objects. We focus on helping wealthy individuals and families make decisions that protect what they’ve built—and unlock what’s next.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Over the years, I’ve also had the benefit of working with incredible coaches and mentors who helped me see the bigger picture. They encouraged me to lead with purpose, to build a business that reflects my principles, and to never lose sight of the human side of wealth. In a field full of noise, I’ve tried to build something centered, thoughtful, and human—and that mindset was forged through the influence of people who expected more and inspired better.
