Meet Jacquelyn Sammons | Physician/Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacquelyn Sammons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacquelyn, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The principle that I promote in my practice is one of health optimization, which is distinctly separate from the current medical community’s concept of “disease management.”
True disease prevention, and optimization of cellular metabolism, which, in turn optimizes whole health is critical for patients to feel their very best.
To me, there is nothing more rewarding than having my patients convey to me that they are able to regain control of their health, and feel better than they have for years. Most of the time, this is achieved through a thorough evaluation of their biochemistry and correction thereof.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In 2018-2019, I left my career in corporate medicine and decided to build out my dream of a practice that allowed patients to focus on their whole health.
Current accepted corporate medicine focuses on a “single complaint” approach, and most visits are limited to 7-10minutes. The approach, in my opinion, is very segmented and does not focus on optimizing the entire patient, but, rather, addressing each issue separately.
My unique approach to this type of medicine is much needed in our community. Many patients have been disillusioned and disappointed by their outcomes with the conventional approach. They are seeking more. I am happy to be in a position to provide that care for them.
One of the larger challenges for a practice such as mine, is operating outside of the realm of insurance. Most of us have been conditioned to believe that the insurance based type of practice will give us the best care. However, many are now coming to the realization that the existing health model falls short of the care they require. Breaching the mindset of paying out of pocket for the optimization of one’s health is a challenge, but one that is resolved when patients see the results they have been seeking.
One of my goals is to spread the word that there IS a different approach to whole health that is attainable for folks like you and I. Our bodies have an intrinsic ability to heal, and can do so if given the correct tools.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I enjoy spending my time in Lake havasu Arizona or in Big Bear California, we spend time on the boat in both locations and go to local restaurants to enjoy lunch and dinner and support local businesses.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Ken Sammons, husband, for unwavering support in my endeavor to build something so unique
Dr. Gideon Kwok, for his encouragement and belief in my ability to be crazy enough to build this.
