Meet Eve Alas Moran | Actress, singer, songwriter, producer, film editor, & screenwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eve Alas Moran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eve, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The key behind my success is absolutely having the team I have. I’ve learned that no artist can succeed alone, and I’m incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who believe in my vision and work tirelessly to help me achieve it.
In the different areas where I have expertise, especially in acting and music, I have incredible teams supporting me. My social media manager and promoter Sofia Alas Morán keeps my brand visible and connected with my audience. My composer and producer Walter Alas Ruíz brings my musical vision to life, while producer Tito Martínez adds another layer of expertise to my projects. Working with amazing director Gabriele Maria Bussetti has elevated my film work to levels I never imagined possible.
But beyond the professional team, I have to mention my family who are also integral to my success. My mother Evelin Morán de Alas and my siblings Efraín Alas Morán and Gabriel Alas Morán have been there from the beginning, supporting every step of this journey and contributing their own talents and perspectives to help me grow.
To be a successful artist, you need a team of people who brainstorm every day and create an image for you. You need people who understand your vision but also challenge you to be better, who handle the areas where you’re not as strong, and who believe in your potential even when you doubt yourself.
I fortunately have all of that, and they all work incredibly hard so that I can have a successful career in acting and music. Without them, none of what I’ve accomplished would have been possible. Success in this industry isn’t just about individual talent—it’s about building the right relationships and having people who are as invested in your dreams as you are.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is fundamentally about breaking boundaries and connecting cultures through multidisciplinary storytelling. What sets me apart is my unique blend of experiences – I’m a former Panamerican Champion in rhythmic gymnastics who became a multilingual artist working across music, film, and performance. This athletic foundation gave me an understanding of discipline and physical expression that deeply informs my approach to acting, dancing, and even songwriting.
I’m most proud of how I’ve maintained my artistic integrity while navigating between worlds – literally and figuratively. Moving from El Salvador to the US at 18 to pursue my BFA at Hofstra was a rough journey, but it taught me resilience. Creating music in multiple languages, like my singles ‘Running Back to You’ in English and French, or my most recent Latin single ‘Enamórame,’ allows me to honor different parts of my identity.
My recent projects showcase this multicultural approach – producing the international music video ‘El Camino’ with composer and musician Walter Alas Ruíz, filming between Los Angeles and El Salvador, or collaborating with Italian director Gabriele M. Bussetti on films like ‘Ca-3N’ and ‘Not by Choice.’ These projects blend my technical skills with deeply personal storytelling.
The journey hasn’t been easy. Being an international student in such a competitive field meant constantly proving myself while building networks from scratch. I overcame this through what I call my three core qualities: discipline from my athletic background, multidisciplinary curiosity that keeps me exploring new forms of expression, and a proactive growth mindset that turns every challenge into a learning opportunity.
I want the world to know that my brand represents possibility without limits. Whether you’re from a small country like El Salvador or facing any barrier, with discipline and curiosity, you can create art that transcends boundaries and connects people across cultures.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having lived in both New York and Los Angeles, I’d create the ultimate artist’s week for my best friend!
If we’re in New York, I’d start with morning coffee and a New York bagel and a stroll through Central Park – there’s something magical about the energy there that every artist needs to experience. We’d spend an afternoon in Bryant Park, maybe catching an outdoor performance, then head to Broadway Dance Center where I have taken dance classes. I’d love to show them the incredible energy of dancers from around the world. Evening would be at New York City Ballet – seeing world-class artistry always reminds me why I fell in love with performance.
We’d definitely explore Brooklyn’s vibrant arts scene, hitting local galleries and grabbing dinner in Manhattan with those incredible city views. For food, I’d take them to authentic spots that reflect the city’s diversity – maybe some Italian cuisine to practice my language skills, or Latin food that reminds me of home.
If we’re in LA, we’d start with some views at Griffith Observatory – the view of the city where I’ve been building my film career is breathtaking. The Hollywood Sign is a must for that iconic LA moment. I’d show them NoHo and West Hollywood, where we can find great food. The Academy Museum would be perfect to dive into film history.
Throughout the week, we’d hit local coffee shops where artists gather, maybe catch live music venues, and I’d introduce them to the incredible multicultural community that’s shaped my work. The goal would be showing them not just the tourist spots, but the creative heartbeat of these cities that’s influenced my journey as an international artist.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to start with my parents, Walter Alas Ruiz and Evelyn Moran de Alas, who’ve been my foundation and made me the artist I am today. Their love and unwavering support shaped everything about my creative journey.
I also want to recognize Sofia Alas Moran, my social media manager, who’s been incredible at helping me connect with audiences and share my work with the world.
And huge credit goes to Gabriele Maria Bussetti, the director of all my work and CEO of BGM Film. Gabriele’s vision and leadership have elevated everything we create together. The partnership we’ve built has been transformative for my career.
Success in the arts is never a solo journey, and I’m grateful to have such an amazing support system of people who believe in the work and help make it possible.
