Meet Gary Trudell | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Trudell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gary, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is our care and attention to people. I have seen people through every aspect of life: newly married, graduations, divorce, illness, death, etc. Whether in the best or worst of times, dedicating our time to making sure we get them comfortable and happy is of utmost importance.

Our whole business is built on referrals and repeat customers. We don’t just stop at the sale, we work all the way through the time of delivery, and years after to ensure our customers are always happy and sleeping well.

With us being the manufacturer, we don’t just sell the same thing to every person that comes in, we are actually able to fit people, learn how they sleep, if they have any pain or injuries, and find something for each person that makes them comfortable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Back in the day, all mattresses were handcrafted using natural materials. As things evolved and everyone went overseas, people started turning to petrochemicals and toxic materials.

With us, we were actually able to keep everything in America and create a natural mattress made locally in Southern California. We use American steel and cotton as well as build our mattresses double-sided. This way they are able to flip and rotate them for extended longevity and use.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to a Dodgers Game and maybe a concert at the Greek.
Definitely a hike at Griffith or a walk around the Reservoir.

The weekend wouldn’t be complete without a picnic on the beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We are a family owned business, I am one of ten kids, my older brothers started this business. Without their passion for craftsmanship, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
