We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin Nicole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew I was a jewelry designer before I ever said it out loud. People kept commenting on the pieces I was making, and it just clicked that this was more than a hobby. Starting my own business felt like the natural next step and gave me the space to create in a way that felt true to me. I’ve always been drawn to vintage aesthetics and the kind of beauty you find in the ocean, something timeless and worn in and a little romantic. Having my own line lets me blend those influences with softer, organic shapes and design pieces that tell stories and connect with people in a real way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has always been rooted in retail and fashion, from clothing sales and manufacturing to fine jewelry sales and buying. Over the past 15 years, I’ve built my own business, learning at every step about design, craftsmanship, and what people truly connect with.

My first fine jewelry line was inspired by the ocean, shaping my love for organic, fluid silhouettes. Today, my collections are vintage inspired, creating modern heirlooms with a nostalgic feel that look like they could have a history even when they are newly made.

What sets my jewelry apart is the intention behind each piece. I design for real life, creating jewelry that feels personal and lasting, something that naturally becomes part of someone’s everyday story.

It definitely wasn’t always easy. I’ve dealt with slow seasons, trial and error, and all the uncertainty that comes with building something from scratch. But trusting my instinct, staying close to my vision, and connecting with clients who understood what I was creating kept me moving forward.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity always wins. When you design from who you are, people feel it.
What I want the world to know about my brand is simple: every piece is intentional, meaningful, and made to last. My work is rooted in nostalgia, personal stories, and the hope that these pieces live beyond the moment they’re purchased.

Building this brand wasn’t always easy, but I trusted my instincts and stayed true to my vision. I’m proud of how far it has come, grateful for my clients and boutiques, and want people to know that every piece is intentional, meaningful, and made to last.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I would make sure they saw the city through my eyes, full of energy, style, and a little adventure. We’d start with a morning walk through Beverly Hills and grab a really good coffee somewhere along the way. From there, we would swing by Erewhon Beverly Hills. It is such a wild, entertaining scene and a great place to pick up a snack before heading out for the day.
Next, we would get outside and hike at Franklin Canyon, enjoying the fresh air, scenic views, and a little escape from the city. After working up an appetite, it is time for a bit of shopping, exploring my favorite boutiques like Curated Los Angeles and Polkadots and Moonbeams.
We would cap the day with dinner at Craigs, soaking in the classic LA vibe and enjoying great food. It is a mix of local energy, iconic spots, and hidden gems, the perfect way to experience the city in just one day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without the people around me. My family and friend have always believed in me, even when my ideas were a little out there, and they’re the ones who keep me grounded and moving forward.
My clients and collectors deserve a huge shoutout. They choose my pieces for their milestones and heirlooms, and their loyalty is really what built this brand. I’m also beyond grateful for the boutiques that took a chance on me and gave my work a home. Seeing my jewelry displayed by people who truly get my vision means everything.
And then there are the mentors and fellow designers who shared what they knew and pushed me to grow.
My shoutout goes to all of them, my family, my clients, the shops that support me, and the creatives who helped along the way. This brand exists because of them.”
