We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasi Liz Hyrapett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kasi Liz, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I saw a need for better marketing in real estate around 2013 as my appraisal job was coming to an end. I thought I wanted to become a Realtor, but had a creative itch to scratch instead and didn’t want to wait for commission checks that may or may not come. An interest in home design and real estate values pushed me to start the real estate marketing business before even touching the camera.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There has to be some passion behind the business or service you’re offering. That’s what keeps you going when things are not so easy. Having a few people you can send a quick email to or call to bounce off ideas is essential, but sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling. If it it doesn’t work out, you learn a lot and get one step closer to your true calling and vision.

I enjoy being that person to hear others people’s ideas and business wishes to help them however I can, even if it’s just to bounce off ideas. When I see that passion and ambition in someone else, it reminds me that we all have a personal challenge we want to solve. Having a your own business can truly help do that.

My business has evolved over the years, but it’s always had a creative foundation to it. Mainly it’s B2B – I help local small businesses and Realtors with SEO copywriting and Google Business Profile management to help them collect more reviews and show up higher on Google Maps and AI search results. It involves listening to their goals, providing photography, and writing strategic rank-ready content for them.

I always loved writing…actually putting pen to paper, but only non-fiction! I’m called The MLS Writer in the real estate world because my team and I have written thousands of listing descriptions for property marketing across the US (before ChatGPT was a thing).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The beach is a must – the ones have fun boardwalks like Hermosa, Manhattan, and even some down in OC. Hiking trails north of the Pasadena area are nice – just a few minutes away but feels like a world apart. For a big city feel, the Americana in Glendale is fun, but I personally prefer the Montrose Shopping Park on Honolulu Ave! It has a small town feel that you keep wanting to go back to. There are all sorts of eateries there and fun people watching, and they also have fun events throughout the year.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Reading business and marketing books along with experiencing real estate investing myself has given me the knowledge and experience to confidently provide my services, especially to Realtors. Some of the local real estate boards have provided excellent opportunities for local networking. However, my fiancé, Doddi, is the one who deserves the most credit for being my rock.
