We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Pappas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My work in entertainment and public relations is rooted in using visibility and storytelling to create meaningful community impact. Having worked in New York and attended university in London, I bring a globally informed perspective to my business that values cultural nuance, representation, and thoughtful communication across industries and communities.

Beyond my professional work, I am actively involved in civic leadership, supporting community rebuilding efforts through TogetherPalisades, serving as a Board Member of the Brentwood Community Council under the Civic and Cultural Committee for the 2026 to 2027 term, and contributing to a City Council committee supporting upcoming local elections. These roles allow me to apply my communications expertise to strengthen civic engagement, elevate local voices, and foster long term community resilience.

At its core, my business uses media, culture, and public relations to connect people, amplify impact driven initiatives, and support both local and global communities.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is built on thoughtful storytelling across entertainment, public relations, and community impact. I approach my work with curiosity, strategy, and intention, shaped by having worked in New York and studied in London. Those experiences gave me a global lens and taught me how culture, media, and leadership intersect in meaningful ways.

My path was not linear or easy. Building my career required discipline, resilience, and an ability to adapt while staying true to my values. I am most proud of creating a body of work that balances high level media strategy with real community involvement, proving that ambition and service can exist together.

Everything I do is guided by a belief in people and in the connections that move ideas, communities, and change forward. I care as deeply about impact as I do about success and am motivated by the responsibility to use my voice and influence in ways that create lasting value.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d drive up to Montecito and stay at the Rosewood Miramar Beach for a week of sunshine, rest and special quality time. My idea of the perfect trip is slowing down, being by the ocean, and soaking up meaningful moments with the people you love. Later in the evening – watching the sunset at Butterfly Beach and at night order Rusty’s Pizza and watch The OC.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my Mother, Karen Callahan Pappas, who instilled in me a deep passion for community and the value of working hard. From a young age, she taught me the importance of showing up for others, leading with integrity, and staying committed to your goals even when it isn’t easy. Her example continues to shape how I approach my career, my community involvement, and the way I strive to make an impact every day. She passed away in 2025, and her influence continues to guide me – forever.
