Meet Nea’ Mckinney (Sister Redhawk)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nea’ Mckinney (Sister Redhawk) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nea’, how does your business help the community?
My work is rooted in the belief that healing is not just personal it’s communal. Through sound, I create spaces where people can slow down, release stress, and reconnect with themselves in a world that rarely allows for stillness. These experiences help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and restore a sense of balance, which ripples outward into families, workplaces, and communities.
I intentionally bring sound healing into places where wellness resources are limited community centers, libraries, small towns, and underserved spaces so that healing is accessible, not exclusive. My events often become gathering points where strangers rest side by side, remember their shared humanity, and leave feeling more grounded and open-hearted.
Beyond individual sessions, I have collaborated with local organizations, artists, and wellness spaces to create experiences that blend sound, art, and culture, strengthening community bonds and supporting local economies. In this way, my business becomes more than a service it becomes a bridge. A bridge between stress and ease, isolation and connection, and between ancient healing practices and modern lives that deeply need them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work lives at the intersection of sound, spirit, and community. What sets me apart is that sound healing is not something I “learned” later in life it is something I was raised inside of. From a young age, I was trained in the power of vibration, rhythm, and deep listening as medicine. I have always carried a natural healing ability, an intuitive sensitivity that allows me to feel where energy is blocked and how sound can restore balance. Over time, I blended these innate gifts with formal study, musical training, and modern sound-therapy modalities to create what is now Natural 7 Alchemy: an experience that is intuitive, grounded, and deeply human.
I’m most proud of creating spaces where people feel safe enough to truly let go. Whether it’s a one-on-one session, a couples immersion, or a room filled with strangers lying side by side, I witness people soften in ways they often haven’t in years. Many arrive carrying stress, grief, or exhaustion and leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to themselves and to one another. That transformation never stops amazing me.
My path here was not easy. Like many healers, I spent years balancing survival with calling. I faced skepticism and the challenge of bringing ancient practices into a modern world that often dismisses what it cannot immediately measure. I overcame those challenges by staying rooted in purpose. Every time someone told me, “This changed me,” or “I haven’t felt this calm in decades,” it reaffirmed why I do this work.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity is power. You don’t build something meaningful by copying others
you build it by honoring who you are and where you come from. I’ve learned that healing is not about perfection; it’s about presence. It’s about showing up, listening, and trusting that what you carry has value.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that this is not a trend it’s a lineage, a calling, and a service. Natural 7 Alchemy is about remembrance: remembering how to breathe, how to rest, how to feel, and how to belong. My story is one of resilience, devotion, and listening to the quiet voice that says, This matters. And it does.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Desert Hot Springs, just minutes from Palm Springs, and it’s one of the most magical places to reset, explore, and soak in beauty. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d tell them to begin by staying at a beautiful boutique hotel spa called The Good House, (https://www.welcometothegoodhouse.com/) it is located in the Miracle Hill District of Desert Hot Springs. This area is a protected Hot Water Zone with the hottest natural mineral well water in the city. It’s a true desert sanctuary peaceful, grounding, and deeply restorative. I offer my sound healing sessions there, and the space itself feels sacred. The hotel has mineral pools, spa services, and an in house chef who prepares nourishing, healthy meals, so it’s the perfect home base for the week.
From there, I’d create a rhythm of rest and adventure. Mornings could start with soaking in the mineral waters and watching the desert light shift over the mountains. One day I’d take them to Cabot’s Pueblo Museum a hidden gem filled with history, art, and story, built by hand and full of character. Another day would be devoted to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Springs, where you can walk among native plants and animals and feel the desert come alive in a completely different way.
We’d spend time hiking the local trails, whether in Joshua Tree, Indian Canyons, or the surrounding desert paths there is nothing like the stillness and vastness of this landscape. Evenings would be reserved for Palm Springs: its vibrant restaurants, art forward spaces, and eclectic energy. From stylish cocktail lounges to cozy cafés and innovative dining, Palm Springs offers endless places to gather, people watch, and unwind.
The beauty of this area is the balance deep quiet and wide open nature paired with culture, creativity, and connection. It’s a place where you can heal, explore, and feel inspired all in the same day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My greatest shoutout will always be to my grandmother. She was a very special medicine woman and the first person to teach me that healing is not something you do to people it is something you help awaken within them. Through her, I learned our ancestral ways of healing and the sacred relationship between sound, vibration, and the body. She showed me that frequency, paired with genuine compassion, can restore balance long before words ever can. She taught me that compassion carries spirit, that sound carries memory and intention, and that every tone holds the power to soothe, awaken, and realign. She would also hum softly, and even in that simple act, there was deep medicine.
Everything I offer today is rooted in what she passed down to me through stories, ceremony, listening, and lived example. Her teachings were not found in books or classrooms they were carried in breath, rhythm, and reverence for life. I carry her voice, her wisdom, and her prayers into every session I lead. In many ways, my work is simply an extension of hers. By sharing these practices, I am honoring her legacy and keeping these ancient ways alive in a modern world.
