Meet Molly Bidman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Molly Bidman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Molly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted the flexibility to be present with my future children but knew that I also wanted to contribute to our financial freedom and show the world that you can be a mom and build a successful business as well. The idea that someone else would forever control our families vacation days, raises and overall happiness and freedom did not sit well with me so I chose to create something that would require tons of sacrifices in the short-term for long-term freedom.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner and operator of a boutique nanny placement agency serving Los Angeles and Orange County and beyond. With a professional background in education and years of experience working as a nanny prior to starting my own family, I bring a uniquely well-rounded perspective to the placement process. I understand firsthand both the needs of families and the expectations of caregivers, which allows me to create thoughtful, well-matched placements built on trust and compatibility.
Although my business operates in Southern California, my roots are in a small town in Wisconsin. That upbringing continues to shape the heart of my agency—grounded in strong values, genuine relationships, and a deep commitment to community. At its core, my business is intentionally personal and client-focused. I am passionate about supporting families while also mentoring and advocating for nannies, ensuring that each placement feels like the right fit for everyone involved.
For me, this work has never been about profit—it is about purpose. I am dedicated to helping families navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming process, connecting them with safe, experienced, and reliable childcare that integrates seamlessly into their lives—like a missing piece of the puzzle.
Building this business from the ground up while navigating postpartum life, without nearby family support, was far from easy. However, I was driven by a strong belief in the value I could offer others, as well as a desire to model resilience, perseverance, and compassion for my own children. Those early challenges strengthened both my business and my sense of purpose.
One of the qualities that sets me apart is my ability to truly listen. Many of my clients come to me after experiencing frustration with other agencies, and they consistently share how much they value feeling heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. I take pride in building meaningful relationships and providing a level of attention and empathy that is often missing in this industry.
Ultimately, I want people to know that my brand is rooted in integrity, care, and connection. I am not just placing nannies—I am helping build strong, supported families and creating opportunities for caregivers to thrive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a mom of little ones most of our time is spent near our home which is in the South Bay. We love spending time at the beach, exploring the green belt and adventuring down to Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach with our Yellow Lab. We also love going to the Tar Pits, Natural History Museum, USC games and the Zoo. If we can find an outdoor restaurant with live music, we are set and especially love Firestone Walker Brewing in Marina Del Rey and Lil’ Simmzys at the Point in El Segundo if we are with our kiddos and love Sirena at the Georgian in Santa Monica or Sushi Chitose in Redondo Beach if it is just adults. Food, good weather and time with friends/family is always how we fill our itinerary!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not have launched my agency postpartum as a full-time mom without the support and encouragement of my husband and my first nanny family; the motivation of my newborn and the belief in my ability by reading and re-reading Amanda Frances personal development book.
