Meet Olga | Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Olga and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Olga, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Having my own business as a fashion designer has been a dream of mine. After working in the fashion industry using my skill and learning the in’s and out’s. I finally felt ready to go for my dream.
Making my dream come true was my goal and part of my bucket list, it was time. I wasn’t getting any younger, time to seize the moment!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Creating bridal fashion accessories along with alterations takes a special skill. A fashion desinger needs to think beyond the design. We need to use technical skills beyond the original idea and sketch. I learned through many years of experience to analyze my sketch and anticipate challenges where fashion enginerring comes to play. Learning this skill was a reality I was taught fresh out of college. It was challenging, but well worth the time.
I really thought by creating a website for Hannah Kanani Bridal people would just come. That is not true. I realized, to grow I needed to learn about marketing. It is not easy for me, but with the help of mentors who share their experiences and the care for eachother in the bridal industry, I have been able to steadily grow.
I am proud of the sentinmental heirloom point of view. My vision for Hannah Kanani Bridal was always to produce a meaningful, thoughful product. I take pride in the creative modern designs, one on one alterations, and sentimental personalized details for my bridal clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So I love so many things about Los Angels and California. Many of these places get my creative juices flowing. They are inspiring in different ways.
1-Laguna Beach
2- San Juan Capistrano
3 Speakeasies for night life
4- Museums

6 Griffith Park & Observatory
7 Any Latin Night Club ( for my dance lovers.)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow!
For the dream and the positive point of view, my parents.
For the strength to conquer fear and guiding my hands, God.
For the people God put in front of me in the bridal industry, WIPA, Carissa Woo Photography, Melissa Erker from Flowersbymelis, Lucy from Beauty Unveiled OC, Jillian from Fantastical Adventures.
