Meet Joel LeBlanc | Actor and Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joel LeBlanc and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joel, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Do you still love the craft? If auditions didn’t come for 6 months would you still take classes, write scenes and make short films? If the answer is yes than your motivation comes from the craft and not the outcome. If you love it that strongly than giving up shouldn’t even be an option. You do not want to look back and regret not giving it everything.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am excited for the path ahead and the growth that comes with it. Its a hard journey but I am ready to face it and work hard to earn my happiness. I wake up wanting to tell stories even when rejection is in every corner. The goal is to use to rejection to ensure you continue to get better so they simply can not say no to you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
LA has incredible beaches, hiking, local theaters, live music and sushi. There is always something to do but in these times its so important to support movie theaters and live art. Go out and support fellow artists.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be where I am in my journey without the people who have supported me along the way. Even when I didn’t believe in myself others did and its helped me to be true to myself. Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and helped me on my path to happiness.
