We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Staab and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, how do you think about risk?
I think any business owner has felt the challenges of taking risks from time to time. It’s hard to know when you should take a risk or play it safe. I think in the end you really need to learn how to trust your gut. You may not always make the right decision but I believe going with your gut is the best option. If you analyze something for too long you become too fearful and usually don’t end up doing anything of value. When risk is involved, weigh the pros and cons and go with what feels right. Starting our own business from scratch was a huge risk but here we are 8 years later and I am so glad that we did. It can be very stressful but it also allows for a lot of freedom. The risk was definitely worth it! 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My husband and I own a video production and photography business. I think what sets us apart is that we don’t look at this just as a job, it truly is a passion. We also view our clients as lifelong friends. I am really proud of the level of clients we have been able to service and that we tend to keep our clients long-term. We got to where we are through old fashioned hard work. It definitely hasn’t been easy but it is so worth it. We have learned so much and made so many wonderful friends. I’ve learned that there is no magic button to success, you have to put in the time and energy. You have to be willing to do the small tasks that can be boring and time-consuming. I want the world to know that our company truly does care about our clients and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My father Robert Pittman taught me how to be an entrepreneur and run a business. Without him, I really wouldn’t have been able to start my own business.
