We had the good fortune of connecting with Norella & Kasey Amiel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Norella & Kasey, what’s your definition for success?
That natural high when a project is complete! It’s a sign that our design efforts were successful in creating a solution, we challenged our capabilities, we enjoyed the fabrication process and our client is thrilled. When it all comes full circle in a positive way you realize doing what you love makes you happy and that is success, everything else just follows.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When my husband and I moved in together we designed and built most everything in our loft, every piece was tailored to maximize functionality and display each materials natural beauty. This tailored approach turned a small space with minimal storage in a flexible cozy space that we enjoyed for seven years. Through our own process we realized the value customization could bring to our lives. Since then, we’ve used our backgrounds in design and fabrication to bring customized solutions to our clients in collaboration with other designers and fabricators. It is these collaborations that make the solutions possible, while gaining inspiration, knowledge endless possibilities!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
