Meet Leah Cordova: Singer & Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Cordova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
To an extent, my whole life has been a risk. I’ve made many mistakes but I’ve also learned many lessons. I’ve been pretty low, but also have been pretty high. Risk to me has to do with following your intuition and then trusting it more than logic. It’s both scary and exciting. It’s exhilarating. It’s uncertain. It is just walking through, jumping in, or letting go. The result may not always be what you expect, but it will always lead you where you need to be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Nothing about being an artist/creative person is easy. It’s humbling, it’s vulnerable. It’s always a risk. I’ve had to pave my way, and light my own road and while for most of it I felt derailed and off-course, it has led me here to where I need to be. I don’t believe in a wrong way when choosing your path. As of now, I am most excited about writing a book of poems and I hope to have published within the next year. In addition, I am working on recording some original songs soon. I will always voice, if not with pen or paper, then with song, if not with song, then I will find ways to keep on spreading the word, the love, and give to others some sense of hope.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
