We had the good fortune of connecting with AJ Schmidt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi AJ, what is the most important factor behind your success?
There are a couple of different things that are the most important factors that relate to my success. The first thing is who am I listening to, meaning only listening and taking advice from people who have what I want and have been where I am at. Secondly I consider my teach-ability index to be extremely high. What I really mean by that is my willingness to learn and willingness to except change to further my success is always there. I have been able to sacrifice certain things such as time, money, and having a balanced lifestyle in order to be successful. I will be teachable until the day I die. The next one is the fact that I always go forward with things because of the why first and the how second. The why is my dreams, my goals and my ambitions, and the how is my actions, strategies and action steps to get to my goal. The thinking process or the why is most important by a long shot. The last few things all blend together really. I take full responsibility for everything in my life. To go into a bit of detail what I mean is everything I have done or influenced has directly affected everything that I am today and everything I will become. I give a lot more than I receive as well with absolutely no expectation. The importance to this is leaving a good impression on literally everyone that I come into contact with because things come around in life always. All of these things I mentioned have helped me with my online personal training business, my entertainment side, and my full time job with largest indirect cost savings company in North America.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am and online personal trainer and my business is called AJ body & Mind. I have helped thousands of people believe in themselves and strive to reach their fitness goals. I toured the world with MagicMen for 4 years, which was an amazing experience that allowed me to live a rockstar lifestyle and network all over the country/world. I am in business development for Bottom Line Concepts as well, which is the largest in-direct cost savings company in North America. All of my success in these areas is because of the massive amount of postive energy and focus I have put into all of these pieces of what I do. After almost dying when I was 22 years old from severe stomach issues I don’t really look at anything as being challenging compared to that. Anxiety comes when you have more responsibility, but without that responsibility I wouldn’t be who I am today and I am excited to take on more. The key to everything I have have done in my life has been who I know, and what I know. With that being said I get better at both of those things and build them any way I can everyday in any way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a good friend was to come out to LA to visit, I would take them to unbreakable for a workout, and then head out to Malibu for a day at the beach. I would stop at Nobu sushi on the way out of Malibu and grab a bite to eat. Next, I would then have a house dinner/evening party of about 30 close people.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my parents for raising me right, and giving me opportunity to focus on what I love to do. They have been married 30 plus years and they are truly amazing people. They have always supported me 1000 percent no matter what I have done in life and that means everything. I want to also thank all my friends, and my family that really want me to succeed, and push me to succeed.
