We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Samoyloff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what do you attribute your success to?
Integrity. I think the most prevailing aspect of my success comes from doing what I said I was going to do. When it comes to PR, nothing is guaranteed, but the person that is hired to do your PR should have a flawless work ethic. I don’t have the massive catalogs that some of these larger companies may have, but I have the integrity to give 120% to each client. I care about their success just as much as I care about the success of my own business. I am also candid about what I can and can’t do. If a client comes to me with a proposal that I cannot execute at the highest capacity, I will consult them to go to someone else. I believe honesty is vital in this world, and I would never take anyone’s money just because it might benefit me at the moment. I think because of this, my business reputation has led to more referrals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Samoyloff PR (SPR) is an LA-based boutique PR + branding firm. We are a culture of thinkers and doers, corporate entrepreneurial refugees, working closely with each client to create strategies that produce massive results. We create compelling narratives, develop attention-grabbing content, and enhance public popularity through strategic PR, social, and digital campaigns. However, SPR is so much more than just a PR firm; we offer such a hands-on and carefully crafted experience. We treat each client and campaign uniquely and do our best to make sure they have lasting results. That said, I won’t lie and say that it has been a cakewalk. It was tough to get clients in the beginning because we had no reputation. Which meant we had to convince people that they could believe in our word. Thankfully, the heartbeat of SPR is guided by a straightforward principle: Integrity. Our integrity and willingness to go the extra mile are unrivaled, which has made a lasting impression. We stand behind our promises, are uncompromising with our standards, and are relentless about results. I think the most important thing that I have learned from this journey is that you should never give up. Always find a way to pivot. Nothing is guaranteed in this business, but your endurance and willingness to go back to the drawing board need to be. One of my favorite sayings is, “don’t hold onto a mistake just because you spent a long time making it.” Ego and pride don’t have space in this world. Take a breath, adjust what you need to, and tackle it again tomorrow. Whatever you do, keep moving forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend were visiting, I would definitely take them to Malibu, specifically Paradise Cove for a day at the beach. You can bring your own beer and wine and sit in a private cove and enjoy the pacific ocean. Also, driving up the coast on PCH is something to be marveled at. If they were into hiking, I would take them up through the Griffith Park trail to the top where the views of the city are incredible. Also, the Observatory has stargazing shows inside that take you on journeys through the universe. All that, coupled with the museum inside is definitely an experience worth having. If it were during the summertime, I would get tickets for Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. LA locals all come together with picnic baskets full of food and wine and enjoy cult classic movies projected onto the cemetery wall. They also have live bands and music at the end so you can dance and socialize. It’s intimate yet social, and being so close to Paramount Studios, and old Hollywood vibes are pure magic. If the philharmonic were playing, I would also get tickets to go see them at the Hollywood Bowl. At least once, listening to the brilliance of an orchestra in the heart of Hollywood, under the stars, is something everyone should experience. Also, with the tickets only being roughly 25$ you can’t beat it. For dinner, I would definitely go to Jones’ on Santa Monica Blvd. It’s an incredible Italian restaurant that has that old Hollywood feel. It’s been around for a long time and still upholds that authentic Hollywood vibe that we all still wish existed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Vanessa Bisetti definitely deserves a shoutout. Vanessa and I were introduced to each other in the corporate world when we were hired at the same company. We instantly connected not only as friends but by way of our like-minded business ethics. I had never met anyone who worked as hard, had as much excitement about completing tasks, and cared so exclusively for the company’s successes like I did. It was a breath of fresh air and a relief that I could trust someone within the workplace to not only get the job done but to do it flawlessly. She has been such an inspiration and example of what hard work, purpose, and creative thought looks like when its executed from a place of passion. Vanessa is the epitome of what every boss wants as an executive in their company, and I am so happy to continue to learn from her to this day.
