We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Najera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always being a beat to my own drum kinda gal so I always knew I wanted my own business and my own thing. Right now I manage and own 3 business and I am a full time mom of 4 boys. The first thing you need to do is START! Don’t wait until things get better, get more money or any thing you might think its on the way, because there will always be Excuses. Believe me there is no better time than NOW! PLAN and be CONSISTENT! For the success of any business it takes lots of planning and time, so don’t get discouraged if things get rough on the process.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a content creator and started 3 years ago. It took me several years to finally decide to start and that is the one regret I still have. I should had started earlier. I am also a full time mom of 4 boys and the owner of a vacation rental property business. I own a blog where I write mostly about parenting and run social media channels where I post about my life, fashion and parenting tips. I have worked with brands like Coca Cola, Transformers, AT&T, Whataburger, Clamato, Hasbro and many other amazing companies. It has not been easy and it is a lot of work, but when you love what you do it hardly seems like work. We just recently launched our baby business (my boys and I) of amazing kids t-shirts and hope to continue grow that new venture. My best advice I can give anyone is if you really want something work for it, DONT GIVE UP! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First San Antonio has lots to offer. I would definitely go to downtown to river walk on an afternoon and walk around and then sit on a terrace and have a drink and a meal. If you want a fancy lunch would go to Chamagaucha. Another great day would include some shopping at La Cantera and then have drinks/eat at Kona Grill. Some of my all time favorites will include: Sapporo, sushizushi, Pasha, County line. For entertainment I would recommend visiting Top Golf, main event, a good jumping place (for kids) and Big’z .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be here with the love and support of my husband Armando. He is and has been my biggest cheerleader and he has believed in me even when no one did!
