We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Galin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charles, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Smile Life…is still worthwhile”.- Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr. To find positive out of a negative is very powerful to me and I admire that it helps me continue and take on what the future shall bring to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Facial Expressions that are real and yet somewhat over the top guide me into my creations of character/creatures. The excitement that rages through my body and into the crowd to join in with my energy gives me more reason to continue this profession. Training in a community College Theatre Department and the support of my family helped me to get to where I am professionally today. It was a fun tough challenge due in part that I was disciplining my body and mind to be true to who I am and still project my love of theatre. This means, I kept it professional when there were times there were altercations in certain backstage and studying of school work. I’ve learned to accept many different people of extravagant backgrounds. To understand I live my own life while others live theirs. My brand: Weird creepy sad shit, keeps him warm and fuzzy. I want others to smile, cry, rage and fear with me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
