Anjelica Monet Vargas | Artist, Challenger, Healer

A mantra I picked up a few years back is a quote from the late Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” This phrase offers grace for all ages and stages in which I have ever been and will ever be. It is easy to consider alternate ways of handling past situations, knowing what I do now. The grace comes in knowing that where I was and with what information I had at the time, I made the best decisions for myself and toward my goals. Read more>>

You can only be you. In my head I can see and hear my dad say this. It’s like he’s standing right next to me. I can’t help, but sigh heavily when I think of this saying as it took his passing for me to truly understand his wise words. Growing up, when I was sad with friends or frustrated with the tides of life my dad would simply say “you can only be you”. I would think “thats right, me, but perhaps also a XXX” feel free to insert whatever career, relationship or goal you were striving after at the time. I was always chasing down a grand plan, pushing and pulling forward. If you had asked me at the time, I would have said I knew who I was and exactly what I was doing. Read more>>

Judith Goldstein | Owner of Luca

Luca was really born out of a lifetime of both professional and personal experiences that all came together in one defining moment, which for me was COVID. My background was in food and environment. I had been working in the food industry for over fifteen years. My studies were about the relationship between plants and their effects on our mental, physical and psychological health. I’ve always tried to source both food and topical products as clean and organic as I could and during COVID doing that with topical products became virtually impossible. It was standing in the middle of a CVS reading a list of ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce on a shampoo bottle when I wondered why there wasn’t the same kind of space with all kinds of products ranging from home, to pet, to skin care that were all totally clean, safe and effective. Karla Lopez | M.S. Electrical Engineering Student & Business Owner

A quote that strongly resonates with me says, “May your passions be greater than your fears.” Being a Mexican immigrant in this country always made me feel like I was carrying an invisible shield to protect myself. Even if I accomplished great things, I never wanted any attention drawn to me. I just wanted to blend in. When making life-changing decisions, fear instinctively creeped in: What if I fail? What will people say if I fail? Now that I am older I realize how my approach on making decisions has changed significantly. I am no longer dominated by fear, instead I try to make myself comfortable being in uncomfortable situations. Having this shift in the way I think has allowed me to encounter more success. Charyssa Ellis | The power of your mind

One of my favorite quotes is by Napoleon Hill “Whatever Your Mind Can Conceive and Believe, It Can Achieve.” I love this quote because it is very on brand with my business. I love teaching and talking about manifesting, achieving goals, and believing in yourself. Its so easy to be negative so I think its so powerful when people can comprehend the power of your brain/mind. This quote means a lot to me, because it’s how I turned my beliefs around and truly learned how to master the art of manifestation. Read more>>

Lulu Tang | Product Designer

“To romanticize the world is to make us aware of the magic, mystery and wonder of the world; it is to educate the senses to see the ordinary as extraordinary, the familiar as strange, the mundane as sacred, the finite as infinite.” – Novalis I think often time, we do not see the beauty of the current state or environment we are in, we get used to what is around us, this quote helps me discover the little things in my daily life that I oversee. It is there for everyone’s enjoyment but it is cool when you are one of the few that notice it. Read more>>
