We are a socially responsible store meaning we are living wage, carry sustainable products that are non-toxic and are as local as possible, giving back in various ways (green initiatives, B Corp, waste diversion, etc.). Little Chief & Co. has a holistic/homeopathic focus and we pride ourselves on helping pet parents heal their dogs and cats naturally with proactive solutions and diet. My business is focused on creating a positive impact and safe space for adoptees. I am an African American woman who was adopted into an Italian American/Irish American home at 3 days old. Growing up I lacked racial mirrors. I felt so alone and misunderstood. It took years for me to develop self confidence and to not be ashamed of my adoption. Flower Shop Collective (FSC) is a Brooklyn-based art + fabrication studio that cultivates the ideas of emerging artists working towards more equitable futures. We offer sliding scale studio access and other artist tailored services with a focus on Black, Brown, Indigenous, minority ethnic, and immigrant artists. FSC was born out of a need to cultivate a community centered in care and skill sharing in the art world. This industry like so many others promotes hyper-individualism and that is something I want to decenter.
