We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebonie White and Demetria Julian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebonie and Demetria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind the podcast came about getting feedback from people around me telling me to use my voice to reach out to others. I never thought the things I wrote in my journal everyday about what I’ve been through in life, relationships and friendships would reach other women who have been through similar situations. The feedback I got after my first show was amazing and I was shocked, so I just thought maybe this is what I’m supposed to be doing. Demetria came on as a cohost and we gained so many listeners on different platforms, so we decided to make it permanent and that’s how we became CONVOS WITH EB AND DEME THE PODCAST

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
EBONIE: I’m in the medical field at a top hospital in Southern California, I’ve been there for 12 years. This career has taught me a lot about really caring about people and also listening to other people’s needs. I love being in a field that is dedicated to helping people. This career has taught me how to think fast, listen and go above in beyond. It can be challenging at times but I just try to have a positive outlook to get me through the day. Although my 9-5 takes up a lot of my time I still manage to create content for my podcast, I use any free time I have throughout the day to come up with ideas for every show. When your passionate about something you do all you can to accomplish and see your hard work come to life. DEMETRIA: I do modeling and I’m a brand ambassador. The thing that sets me apart is that I’m very easy to work with. I come with a positive attitude and I’m very relatable. I’m proud that I’m doing the things I love and people are believing in me and supporting me through all of it. It’s just makes me super excited in whatever comes my way rather it’s big or small. I basically got myself here with no help or much experience. It was all me taking a leap and trusting my faith. It’s never easy, because you have to realize you’re not what some one wants all the time. And that’s okay, just keep going and trying. The lessons Ive learned are patience is a must. That’s the main thing with anything in life. I would like the world to know that you should definitely go after what you want. At least try. You never know what it can lead to or who you meet. My story is similar to many out there. You may work a 9-5 but also going after your calling on the side. I know it’s not going to happen instantly but it can happen for you. You have to take steps, believe and not let anything discourage you. Always know that you’re worth it.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Los Angeles has so many hidden gems, but since we both love mimosas, the first stop would be The Overland in Culver City for a great brunch and bottomless mimosas. Santa Monica Pier for some fun in the sun and great food. Broad Museum. The Grove for a great shopping experience and stop by the farmers market for great food and gifts. Malibu Wine Safari enjoy the animals and some wine while enjoying nature.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be were I am today with the podcast without DEMETRIA JULIAN, she is my right hand in every topic, conversation and is there no matter what. All the long nights recording and coming up with content after our own 9-5 jobs she still comes and is ready to work. Not only is she my friend she is my business partner and we do a great job together. Without the support of my family, friends and the listeners we would not be where we are today.
