We had the good fortune of connecting with Esmeralda Columna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Esmeralda, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue an acting career because I never saw myself doing anything outside of the arts. I grew up dancing and the transition into acting came naturally. My professional training in ballet taught me structure and discipline, which I believe is important to be successful in this field. I like to have the freedom to create and explore different roles.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Educating myself and working non stop. The field I’m in is very hard and challenging but I love what I’m doing and I enjoy every moment of it. I’m a latina actress, classily trained and ready to work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles has so many great areas to explore but my top definitely will be: The Great White in Venice for breakfast and for a nice walk at the beach, Restaurant Fig and Olives on Melrose Place to dine in and get to know West Hollywood area, Mixology 101 at the Grove for cocktails and to hang out. To explore outside the area definitely Palm Springs and there Las Casuelas Terraza for the best mexican food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My manager Kate Flook
