How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Our community is comprised of some absolutely brilliant entrepreneurs and so we asked a few of them to tell us the story of how they came up with the ideas for their business.

I had been working in the event industry for many years back home in the bay area since the early 2000s working for start ups and other organzations trying to get as much experience as possible. After moving to Santa Barbara I got involved with some of the events around town, volunteering my time and networking. I knew it was something I had to pursue. Initially, I was curious about a career in finance. Years ago, I worked for financial giants like Merrill Lynch and JP. Morgan, later on I switched to the buy-side with a smaller company where I’ve learned the dynamics of the market and customer demand. From my family I’ve always been the one to be excited for holidays & birthday parties. Many can say I’m a little EXTRA when it comes to decorations. Which I am I can’t deny that , the only reason why I’m like this is because I didn’t have that opportunity growing up I didn’t have big parties or a quince like many girls, my birthdays were simple and small.
