How do you define success?


TV, Movies, and culture in general sometimes paints a narrow, specific image of what success is, but we know from our conversations with some of the best and brightest that success can mean vastly different things to different people.

As I’m entering my forties, I’m realizing my definition of it has changed. For most of my life, I would have said achieving name recognition, or being acknowledged for having an impact on the world. Coming from Eastern Europe, the idea of the “American Dream” was always something we heard about — this golden concept that promised everything: career, money, recognition, the picture-perfect version of life. Success, to me, is based on a few different factors. First, and most importantly to me, is am I happy? If I genuinely like what I’m doing (it doesn’t have to be 100% of the time, but a majority of the time) and there are parts of my business that I LIKE doing, then that right there would be a huge win in my book.
