We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenná Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenná, what matters most to you?
I believe everything is cause and effect and if you follow the light you will GLOW! I am on a continual path to SHINE ON and know that in order to Illuminate from the inside there must be challenges or resistance. Simultaneously, we are all focused on growth individually.
Overcoming obstacles is a source of power and light. This is how we practice alchemy by turning our base root feelings like fear into something that is golden, something that inspires growth.
Similar to building muscle, your Shine or Glow is gained cumulatively. The light begins from within and spreads outwards. We are living in a transformative time where the light workers are being called to enlighten. Imagine how amazing it will be when the majority lets that tremendous amount of inner light shine. That is what I hope to inspire with my art because, that is what I see for the future. I hope that my art and creative nature inspires others to step fully into their own light.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is revolutionary because it speaks directly to the soul. I like to use bold colors as a way to communicate optimism, action, and the spirit of hope. In my pieces you will usually find bright colors paired with a bold meaning embedded in the painting. My art accents the high moments of joy, without abandoning the shadowy moments of dispair, because its all apart of the process. Many say that my art inspires feelings of hope, love, peace and happiness. I have a special way of inspiring or enLIGHTening without being intrusive.
I am an agent of change. Through GLOW SOCIETY I have been working to incept the idea of shining from the inside out and producing energy, work, and leadership from that sacred space. My art demonstrates how to strengthen optimism, and foster courage and strives to provide a mirror in which we can feel our deepest emotions and emerge recreated and ready for action.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are going to start the day at BLOOM Cafe on Pico because they have the best healthy but yummy breakfast. I order salmon scramble and a fresh juice. the vibe of that place is perfect to eat and chat. we talk so long I decide to order a ginger tea. We would leave very full but ready for more action. We would have to see Venice Beach so we can walk down the boardwalk. I love being by the water. Of course I bring my roller skates and encourage my companion to jump on a bird scooter or get a bike rental. One full day will be dedicated to the beach. We link uo with other friends new and old and we Rollerskate, skateboard and bike to Santa Monica beach to hang at the pier. The next day we venture to Downtown LA to explore the area. Stopping at The Juice Press first to fuel our walk around and end up in Santee Alley. Next we head to Griffith Park. After spending hours there we merge to Los Feliz / Silverlake area for the rest of the day. Starting off in the neighborhoods for a quick tour and ending on Sunset Blvd for a bite to eat. I would have to take my friend to Sushi Dans in North Hollywood and have them taste the baked scallop on a CA roll amongst other tasty favs. Another day will be spent in the part of LA I am most familiar with by visiting the USC Campus, Inglewood, hitting up the SwapMeet and hanging in Leimert Park. As always, towards the end of the trip, we must hit up either Wii Spa or Olympic Spa and have a deep decompression reflecting on the amazing times we had.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
