We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
When taking risks it helps you achieve the goals that you have & realize how life is short. I just recently moved to Los Angeles in the beginning of 2020 on my own, not knowing what I would be doing and where I would be living. I just took the risk to do this on my own and just go along with it. I was nervous and worried about being alone and risking my life in another city. I have learned to face my fears no matter where and who I am around. I have role models that have gone through Racism, traumas and depression, but never thought about giving up. My dreams are to further my career in modeling and help others in need. If I decided to not move and give up on my dreams i would not be able to succeed in life and will feel stagnate. Life is about taking risks and you may go through certain bumps but as long as you never give up than you will be able to succeed and accomplish anything.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am doing photoshoots to accomplish my modeling career. I have done photoshoots with different photographers in different areas and have viewed the different ways they shoot and how their images of me come out. I didn’t think that I would be modeling and taking pictures when I was younger, but when I started to view how it can be fun and I can do it naturally if I practice. When I did my first photoshoot I felt confident and enjoyed it. The different photographers taught me the right poses, facial expressions, and to not over think. I have also had my fair share of Scams and agencies taking money from me saying if I pay this amount they would help me succeed in my modeling, but end up not happening. I am a strong, goal-oriented and talented young woman who is patiently waiting to see where my dreams takes me.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I have just recently moved to Los Angeles in January 2020, so I am still getting use to this city. Los Angeles is a fun area to site see and further your career. From what I have heard Los Angeles is well known for its beautiful beaches and restaurants. If one of my best friends came to visit me, we would def go to the beach and boardwalk on a sunny day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out and dedicate my accomplishments and risk takings to my family because I am doing all this for them. My family has been there for my through thick and thin; my whole life no matter if I am taking good or bad risks. My family will never give up on me and will never shut me out of their lives. I am very blessed to have my family and friends ones who check up on me, loves me unconditionally, and understand my short & long term goals.
