We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, what are you most proud of in terms of your business?
What we do changes people’s lives. It repairs and rebuilds families. We have given thousands of families, parents and couples the communication and coping skills to have healthy relationships for the rest of their lives. We help them work through their own pain and challenges so they don’t pass on those things to the ones they love.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As I mentioned, the work we do through Save My Family Today has changed people’s lives and repaired families, therefore, I believe it has changed the world in its own small way. What we do as In-Home Family, Teen and Couples Coaches is extremely personal and requires us to invest all of our passion and expertise in to each client. It’s very personal work. There has never been a moment that I wanted to close the doors on our business, however, there have been overwhelming challenges that have had to be overcome to keep it going, helping one family, person, couple at a time. It is exciting to think that all of our training and personal trials now benefit others. It’s exciting to think that we will help transform and build up more people and more families in the future.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
First stop, happy hour upstairs at Saint and Second in the LBC. Then dinner at Nicks right across the street. We’d spend a few nights at Terrenea resort getting pampered at the spa and enjoying the poolside bar, fine restaurants and amazing ocean views. A visit to the Beachcomber down in Newport is a must as well as a lot of paddle boarding in the bay.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow… so many people to thank. But I’d narrow it down to my mom and my best friend/business partner who have always encouraged me to keep moving forward with the business even in face of huge challenges. Because of them Save My Family Today still serves families. I dedicate this shout to them.
