We had the good fortune of connecting with Maggie Mullin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maggie, do you think college made a positive impact on your life and career? Do you think it was worth the price tag?
Absolutely! I had a great experience in college and I learned so much. I highly recommend that everyone experiences it if they have the opportunity to do so. I truly believe having a degree helped me get interviews and jobs that I may not have gotten without one. You also meet some of the best people during your college years that you will know for a lifetime! There’s truly nothing like it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started getting more into social media when I created my blog a couple years ago. Since then I stopped with full time blogging and switched my focus more to using Instagram and Snapchat as my personal voice. Im very passionate about animals/animal rights so I post a lot about that on my stories and my work with local charities. Recently with the corona virus outbreak I started volunteering again with Project Angel Food as they were short on volunteers. They provide daily fresh meals to the homeless and are some of the most giving people I have ever met. Right now they are not taking volunteers due to government orders but I can’t wait to volunteer again there once it is allowed. I also post a lot about the LA nightlife and new and upcoming restaurants/cool places that I enjoy!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
This is easy for me! Anytime a good friend comes to town I make sure we do it right. I would do a beach day, Disneyland, hiking, walk of fame, hit up all the best rooftops/restaurants, etc! I live in Hollywood so going to Tao for dinner then highlight room after is a never fail! Going to the beach in Malibu then lunch at the Ivy at the Shore is also a must. LA is such a fun city, I’m never bored here. From the Venice boardwalk to hiking in the Santa Monica mountains you can always find something to do outside which is one of my favorite things about LA. You can’t beat this weather!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and close friends absolutely deserve a shout out! My parents have always been tough on me they never babied me so it forced me to become independent and to always do everything on my own. I quickly learned that if I want to make something happen I have to do it myself and I think thats how i got to where I am today. My life has come so far! My friends are the best. They are the ones that really root for me and they are truly good people. In the past I felt some resentment from friends, like they wanted me to do good but never better than them. Today, I do not have any friends like that and the support I get from them is amazing.
