Meet Aaron Akins | Entertainer, Vocalist, Songwriter, Composer and Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Akins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is I love what I do!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a gift from something higher than me. I believe what sets me apart from others are my songwriting, singing and composing style. I was blessed with a talent to write songs that speak to a universal perspective.

Like my song ” When Do We Love ” which is featuring Walter and Scotty of The legendary soul group The Whispers. I have a couple of songs that are featured in feature films, but I am particularly excited and proud of my song ” When Do We Love ” !

I believe I got to where I am today because I continued to have passion for my music. It wasn’t easy for me because it took many mistakes and trail and error.

I have learned that I have to stay as emotionally stable as I can in the moment that I’m in because all the money and success in the world will not make me emotionally stable.

I want the world to know that I am music, and I want to help others to the degree that I can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area I wanted to take him around I would probably take him to The Catalina Jazz club. Not just because I play there but because some of the real greats play there like Chick Corea, Steve Gadd, Marcus Miller and Stanley Clark just to name a few.

I would perhaps take him to Vibrato Jazz club for the same reason great artists.

If we just wanted to be kinda casual and chilled out I would take him to the Dresdan.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
