We had the good fortune of connecting with Filiverto Landeros and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Filiverto, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
My core values that embodied me as a person are. Honesty, professionalism, consistency, passion and efficiency. These values have played a key role in my life and career. They have molded me to be the best that I can be and to never take anything for granted like, my family and my professional relationships.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I’ve been called a man of many hats when it come to music. As an audio engineer and music producer my passions have taken me to creative places that only few can experience. Since a young age I’ve always had a passion and love for music, as a kid I would collect records and record music onto cassette tapes from the radio, which helped me appreciate all genres, I feel that my diversity in learning techniques from all genres is what sets me apart from most engineers and producers. One of my biggest accomplishments was getting my BA in Audio Production from the Los Angeles Film School. Having my credential has opened doors of opportunity that will allow me to further my career which make me extremely excited about the future. I’ve been very blessed and fortunate to turn my passion and love for music into a career. It’s taken a lot of mistakes a lot of learning and a lot of blood sweat and tears to develop the skills and relationships that I’ve gained. This journey hasn’t been easy to say the least but my hard work and dedication has definitely been rewarding. One of the main lessons I’ve come to learn is balance, I’ve learned to balance my time properly between family and business. I have a lot to offer when it come to audio production, I really strive on having a peaceful and smooth environment when it comes to creating whether it be music or film.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to all the record shops in LA like Amoeba Music and Record Surplus to name a few. Take them around Melrose to check out the graffiti (I really like love graffiti art)
Stop by Fat Sals or Roscoes chicken and waffle to enjoy a great meal or maybe just take a cruise on the metro.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout the people who have supported throughout the years. Lion City Music Group, Burch-Studios, Los Angeles Film School, Parsons Guitars, TGK Audio Visual Consultants, Soloman @standoutlivingoriginal.com and to all the musicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years.
