We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Stauber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what do you attribute your success to?

Thinking outside the box has to be the most important factor for my practice. I’ve always looked for new and different ways of approaching a problem. In school we are given a framework to start with when working with someone, but no two people are ever a like. Digging deeper at what is often right in front of us and finding a new solution can be super rewarding.

Early in practice, I recognized I could consistently help patients get to a certain point of improvement and then plateaued. In order to break that threshold I knew I needed to look beyond what I was doing and wanted to be more comprehensive with my treatment approach.

This principle of thinking outside the box and really dissecting (figuratively) my work helped me discover an area of tissue that hadn’t been addressed, or at least I had completely missed it. This opened a whole new world not just for me but for patients that were stuck in their process of getting better and really healing.  People dealing with chronic injuries that are still lingering can often see significant improvements in a relatively short time simply because these areas have never received this sort of attention.

What should our readers know about your business?

I’ve been in chiropractic practice for nearly 20 years. I had the privileges’ of working and practicing in Europe, South America, Canada and here in California.

Empathy is a huge part of success in practice. Having an understanding of what someone may be going through is pivotal in the outcome of care. Many of my own health challenges have helped me design and construct procedures and treatments that I use everyday.  My work is customized to each person.  I take whatever time the individual needs to work towards reaching the established goals.  It could be alignment issues, movement patterns that need to be changed, specific cranial work or soft tissue remodeling.  It’s a process that I really enjoy observing when patients begin to see and feel these changes.
Starting a practice from scratch can certainly be grueling. It’s not easy and it requires a tremendous amount of discipline. I believe my work in spinal remodelling, upper neck and cranial work has given people an option for treatment the many didn’t even know existed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I love the coast, the beach and water. We’d definitely spend time surfing and hanging out along the coast. I have family in the area so hanging with them and connecting is a priority.

The diversity LA has to offer is something I greatly appreciate. The cultural food experience is fantastic, you really can’t go wrong with the little mom and pop shops that are spread out all over. I’m also a music lover and on any given night you can find something new and upcoming or classics that never get old.
In reality, much of our time is taken up driving our kids to their soccer games and school functions. It’s a small window of time with them so we try to appreciate that when things get hectic and enjoy one day at a time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife deserves a huge shout out. She continues to encourage me to express myself. To be who I am, but also challenges me to grow and break down old habits. My boys, Jacob and Liam continue to encourage me and don’t let me settle.  My parents, and brothers and sisters and have been an immense role for me and for that I am grateful.

I can’t express enough the gratitude I have for the individuals that I get to work with. They entrust their bodies and health care to me. With out them I would not be where I am today.
